The beginning of this video seems to suggest some level of consoling (Amundson, Moreira and Schulte)... Hard hitting images from @MLS weekend , Wessam Abou Ali 🇵🇸 who has been putting up newcomer of year credentials receiving comfort from @ColumbusCrew teammates after apparent knee injury. ❤️🩹.🙏 for good news on his behalf. pic.twitter.com/nVPsRrMT7t— Maximiliano Bretos (@MaxBretosSports) April 13, 2026
The Tata Martino fracas last week showed some "we got each others backs" moments. Henryk seemed to imply that in his comments.

With all the the metaphorical synchronicity and "God moments" we've had with this team over the years, I always felt there was a big connection of some sort. And when a song like this pops up out of the blue, I like to think God is speaking to me. "course, it might be all the AI in my life just spying. After that song, God doubled down, and followed it up with this one - https://video.search.yahoo.com/sear...4a1dae00824c5bb1da2db7942a3d7405&action=click I share the latter for your listening pleasure this season.
Believe IW previously shared that the locker room was a mess. Im drawing conclusions from Taha being the only player who substantively interacts with wes on social media and outside of work. But I could just be leaping, not just jumping, to conclusions
Nope, I’ve never discussed the locker room. Given Nancy and Tall’s propensity for insisting on players with little to no ego, I highly doubt there’s conflict. I’ve heard nothing about it. Speaking of which, I hope that Bez brings back a little fire to the team. I’m not saying I want a locker room cancer, but the best players often come with a little attitude. Swear that Nancy would’ve shot down Cucho had he not already been on the team. Before I’m asked, yes, Bez has already been consulted regarding Wessam’s injury and the implications ; ) .
There is no argument from me regarding team morale, it’s not been great the last two years. It’s just not due to conflict between team players. Players leaving, Nancy’s ego spilling over onto players, not winning etc etc, this has all affected the team.
He never should've been allowed to go back out there. Non-contact injuries are nothing to mess with. Pure negligence. I'd say it if peak Nancy did this as well.
I got back into town early Sunday because I was given free Lexus seats to the Blue Jackets game. During the evening, in the lounge downstairs, I ran into 3 Crew STHs. They all told me that they are out on renewing Crew STHs this Summer. Why? Jimmy, team sucks, the buzz is gone from SMGF. One may return in 28 for NWSL ... if they play Spring to Fall. 2 of the 3 mentioned moving the game to Cleveland in 25. "Utter bullshit." "I haven't forgotten that. At all." All mentioned the schedule change. I don't know how many of them knew Bez was ever the GM.
18% of revenues from concessions and parking is not irrelevant. Certainly not for a league where the majority of teams are losing money each year. Between this and Paul "exposing" the locker room tensions ... this has been a wild post-game thread.
And fast. Neither of which JRR possesses, and it's not exactly like he has the clinical finishing or playmaking ability to make up for his physical deficiencies.
I agree with you ; ) . My point has simply been that finding new ownership to completely replace the Haslams would be an utter minefield. There’d be about a 90% chance of winding up with someone that would either spend less or move the team. From what I understand, Redbird Capital seemed shady regarding moving the team and the group of local businessmen bowed out regarding the cost.
This is not my recollection of how they presented themselves. They were ready to commit to a new stadium which would have tied them to Columbus for a long time.
We are a lot aligned. I am genuinely concerned about the Crew's slipping status in town. With more headwinds coming. Someone ... the Edwards, Whitney, the Son in Law ... has got to get Jimmy Haslam replaced as the "face" associated with the Crew and NWSL. Hire a Team President with presence for both. That will make compelling public appearances and let the Haslam name stay in the background. And limit Jimmy to speaking on the Browns and the dome. That is doable. And would help ease the toxicity. Replacing as owners is not a feasible expectation.
When Whitney and JW take over, Meddling Jimmy will be looked upon as the good old days. Careful what you wish for. Otherwise, I agree that NWSL pr has been grossly mismanaged. Do remember that Nationwide wanted this to be kept a secret from the beginning, it’s dictated how this has been handled. If the ESPN article hadn’t happened, people wouldn’t even know of their involvement. There are still other issues that I’m not disclosing.
