no, blackpool are in even better form. congrats to yeovil tho, they played us off the park. i was at the city ground on friday and it was incredibly tense, the crowd got fairly hostile.

No question at all that Yeovil were the better team on Friday. The final will be a different game all together, I think it's 50-50 who will win it.

G'day, I live in Australia, and saw an item talking about Yeovil Town, calling them "The Glovers"

Why do they have that name?

I'm not certain on it, but I think I read on another soccer website some years ago that glovemaking was once a very important industry in Yeovil (sort of like the Pittsburgh Steelers and Milwaukee Brewers are named in their respective American sports leagues).

"Close, but no cigar" for the Glovers today. Blackpool win 2-0 and will play in the CCC for 2007-08. Congrats to the Seasiders and good luck next season. Can Yeovil be a force again in League 1 next year?

Hopefully. If yeovil did go up it would be too soon and they would be straight down again. Next year hopefully.
