Players dye their hair outrageous colors so their half-blind grannies can spot them on the TV. I thought this was widely known.
Gotta figure he's better than both if only slightly. Damn those PL wages, figure he would find a better situation in Serie A or La Liga though then dealing with heightened racism wouldn't work.
I think an honest appraisal is probably "pretty good, not bad, I can't complain but actually all them 3 are just about the same." Yedlin has better wheels, but I'm not sure NUFC looks all the better (or worse) with him or Manq on the field. I like DY better, but I don't doubt there's a bit of jingoism in that. I think he'll kick around the EPL for a bit. Hard to give up on that lifestyle, I'd wager.

This is what people got so worked up about?? Damn, how uncreative are we as a collective. Was expecting at least 2 dye colors and some intricate braids or something. Has Mamadou Sakho proven nothing???
We're not far from technology that will allow us to highlight a given person on TV thanks to facial/body recognition software. That way you can spot a character at all times during a movie, for example. For soccer, perhaps they should focus on hair recognition software.
Yedlin subbed on in the 73rd minute. Newcastle are drubbing Bournemouth right now 4-0. Even Almiron got a goal today.

Krafth had the assist on Almiron's goal, but still only managed a 6.4 rating on Fotmob. I'm not sure I've ever seen a defender with a goal contribution have a rating so low. The rest of his stats were appalling: 70% pass completion, 2 of 11 in duels, 0 for 5 on aerial challenges, 0 successful tackles
What was Manquillo's rating? He has also been less than impressive IMO. The coach switched him to LB. He was beaten in this game at the endline so badly it was bordering on ridiculous. The fact that Yedlin can't get legit playing time with the competition he is going up against speaks volumes. He had one pretty terrible game in the FA Cup before the break but I thought he had some decent moments this year. I have to assume the coach does not see him as a part of the future. He should be in the middle of his prime but he has dropped off the radar.
