For 2001 and 2002 I was a member, but last year I just didn’t have the time because of high attendance for the soccer celebration. I just wanted to know if being a member before, and not last year, means that I am considered a returning member.
You will have to wait until Wednesday to see if any spots are left. Please consider renewing your membership this year )
Re: Year-end party with Club Quake Since I volunteered last year, let me assure you, the answer to that question is "Yes."
Re: Year-end party with Club Quake If you came to majority of the games then you will get a call for another end of the year party which is free, If not, well then you have to pay Club Quake and volinteering are two different things.
Well, I'll be there. And I'll gladly pay my $20! First off, the Club is non-profit. So I know the money isn't going to pad the pockets of another fan. It's going to cover the cost of doing something like this. You get food and a drink covered in the cost of that ticket. And you get a raffle ticket too! The money is worth it for that. But it's even more worth it for all the hard work the Club does to put on events like this for my enjoyment! Club Quake is great people and great fun! For all the Club has done for me over the years, I don't hesitate to put my money down and show up for another event that will definitely add to my memories of this championship year!
If we are not a member (yes, I feel sooooooo guilty), do we send an e-mail now, then wait for a response on Wed, or do we send an e-mail on Wed and wait for a response hopefully before Saturday???
I'd send an email now, and then if there are any available slots come Wednesday that you follow up and reserve your ticket. Good luck--these events are a way to chat with the players, enjoy some eats, and get that missing autograph on your jersey, etc. Cheers!
I e-mailed Pat twice and still haven't heard anything from him. I hope he saves me a ticket because I'm driving down from Chico. Hope to see you all there.
Club Quake Party Non-Members Welcome If you are a non-member but want to join in the Celebration, I have the Perfecto solution. Just sent a note to event@clubquake.org and state how many tickets you want. The non-member/new member Adult ticket rate it $ 30. For $30 you get admission to the party, a ticket good for one drink from the bar, all the finger food and sandwiches you can eat, and a raffle ticket for great Earthquake stuff, and a years membership for Club Quake. A Child's ticket is $15 with all the same perts. Porkrind's note highlighted all activities at the party, so come eat, drink, be merry, get your picture taken with the MLS Cup and celebrate with the team and staff.
Speaking of shirts, i just received an Earthquakes Jersey in the mail yesterday. There was a pop-up box that showed up a few times earlier in the season when you visited the quakes site, a contest to win an autographed jersey of the quakes so i filled it out and actually won. It's a white 2003 jersey which is pretty cool cause i already had a blue one, and it was a nice present for me since my birthday is this weekend. So i'll be wearing my new jersey to the parade Sunday... GO QUAKES!!!!
To everyone going to the year-end party tonight (should be about 5:30 in the morning in Kahleeforneea right now). Drink one for me!!! for the Quakes great season. That I am not there to enjoy this with you.

TODAY! TODAY! [/puking announcer voice] Seriously, if you've been in a cave or haven't read this thread, see the first post in this thread for all the details. Hope to see all the CQ members from BS there!
Big round of applause to everyone who were able to put together and organize the bash, especially the usual people from Club Quake and the team--names far too many to mention. Nice chance to party with the Cup and mingle around. Note to league: If we win it again next year or hereafter is it possible to retire that trophy and replace it with something that actually looks like a Cup. Also we can drink from it, which is even more celebratory! We need 2 stars for our flag (and jerseys). Cheers!
What he said, goes double for me... wish I had been there in something more than the usual "think of me as there-in-spirit" stuff. But nonetheless, hope everyone had a blast. You all deserve it.
And loads and loads and loads of it. And make sure the NikeTown in Melbourne gets their fair share of it, too.
