Saw that match, he scored from the penalty. He was substituted during half-time. He didn't impress much in the first half. He didn't assisted in any goal against Riffa as it was # 32 (Argentinian player) who assisted in the 2nd goal.

Yasser hardly had any good pass for showing his best ...

It seemed that he has lost his pace and out of match practice ...

    UAE is retirement league.

I remember back in his prime he said "I'll play in the UAE League when I'm in my thirties." and now he's in the UAE League :D

Except he's been "added back" into the national team. What a joke!

Come to think of it, who are the new players that can take the place of all the over-aged Stars in the national team? I would say that they can be as follows:

    1. Yasser Al Fahmi (He did impressed in the game against Brazil)
    2. Suddairy (Goal Keeper, he was also good)
    3. Dagriri (Impressed as well)
    4. Fahad Al Dowsary (He impressed in other game but was under mental stress in the game against Brazil)
    5. Ibrahim El Ibrahim
    6. The forward in the Saudi Olympic Team who played in Morocco and scored a goal against Egypt which Saudi won 1-0 (couldn't recall his name) he plays for Al Ittihad
    7. Yahya Shehri
    8. Rayan Bilal
    9. Naif Hezazi
    10. Hamoud (from Al Nassr)
    11. Nawwaf Al Abed
    12. Abdullah Al Zori
    13. Abdul Aziz Al Dowsari
    14. Ahmed Fraidi

I listed these players as they are under 25 years ...

Come to think of it, KSA lost miserably in WC2002 and then restarted building a new team based on new players in which KSA couldn't even qualify from the 1st round of Asian Cup 2004 However, the team got excellent experience and this new team (with the inclussion of Sami Al Jaber for experience purpose) not only qualified to the world cup 2006 but also performed well ...
So, similar approach is needed in future but not in this world cup qualifier as it is too dangerous to experiment any new stuff now ...

A little fortunate but he did well to position himself for the rebound.

Another assist from Yasser in league win over Sharjah.I just hope that if he continue to perform great in this League he might catch an eye and get a loan offer from atleast second tier European Leagues.
