He was at spurs for a while and never consolidated his status as a top player precisely because of all of these mistakes

Yaser played the full 90 today in Gala’s 3-1 win in a Turkish League Cup match

And came off the bench for 20 minutes in a League game this past weekend so hopefully this is a sign of things to come in terms of increased playing time - the competition between Yaser - Carbonero - Gomez - Carrascal - Quintero should be fun to watch with Campaz, Enamorado and Hinestroza also possibilities.

Right now I am favoring him to start on the right for Colombia.
I like the way he played against Australia and when he came off the bench against Canada.
And the way he is playing for Galatasaray seems solid so far according to that video.

Me too, he generates chances as he’s slippery and creative. Final ball needs to improve but he should relieve some pressure of Lucho on the other side

Yaser needs to nail down his spot and put in performances at club level to be able to be seriously considered to start. On paper he's great, but he wasn't able to show he can be consistent at club level since moving to Spain and for a young player we just can't risk gambling on him without a bigger sample size. If he can do it in Turkey for the rest of the season then I'd love to see it, but he still has alot to prove to show he's ready for that level for us and we have a lot of options for his position.

Yaser is a 2030 prospect. I am not writing him off as another Juan Pablo Pino. He is 22 (Bday is in November) but too late for this cycle.

Can still go to 3 WCs after this one. Badly advised career wise by agent. Thought he was going to be Prime 2014 James for this WC when he debuted.

Gomez, Carbonero have done way better in their limited chances. Or putting Arias in the position he played in Brazil > Yaser.

yaser, Gomez and carbonero have potential to be super subs for this World Cup. Yaser has shown flashes of explosiveness with the ball while Carbonero has scored a couple of times in friendlies coming off the bench. I think Gomez scored a goal in a wcq against Uruguay but that was in limited minutes.

Carrascal has become a strong club player in Brazil the past few months but has been inconsistent in the yellow shirt and JFQ is JFQ (maybe Nestor can hire Gallardo on a short term contract lol)

Which makes next month very critical…

With Gala in first place by only 3 points, playing time in league games will be a valuable experience especially with a league title at stake…

    Not bad.
Should have scored a goal but kicked it straight to the keeper.
Could have had a "hockey assist" but his teammate could not score either.
