I'm putting out a new model for listing youth Yanks who play on the youth teams of other nations. Previously, we've had them broken down by year groups which meant figuring out which YG a player is part of and can lead to duplicate posts in the same thread. I've done this in the USWNT forum and it works well -- one thread per year. We can start another one in January 2026. Here are the existing threads: https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/yanks-on-foreign-ynts-05-08-yobs-and-younger.2126853/ (2005 & later) https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/yanks-on-foreign-ynts-01-04-yobs-and-younger.2111895/ (2001-04) If it doesn't work, so be it.

Technically a US Territory but seems relevant to this thread. Lots of girls from the states on the U17 National Team.
Toby Szewczyk in camp with Poland U16s: New York Red Bulls goalkeeper Toby Szewczyk (09) has been called up to the U-16 Poland National Team for their upcoming camp in Turkey 👏Toby also represented the U.S. last year in the Vlatko Markovic tournament he kept a clean sheet versus Japan to win the title 🏆 pic.twitter.com/3cZk4s97CQ— Footy Access (@footy_access) January 14, 2025

We won the first time. This time, we're dealing with a more talented player, and the stakes are bigger. He's been in I believe every USYNT camp he's been fit for. That's offering a lot.… https://t.co/SAVheARrmZ— USMNTProspects (@ProspectsUsmnt) January 15, 2025
Adam Basse is currently in the Polish U18 pool: Basse is a current Polish U18 international, but was born and raised in New York and is not yet provisionally cap-tied. Has a ton of size at 6’4”. Made his debut at 16, which is impressive in any top flight league.— USMNT Source (@usmntsource) January 21, 2025
That may be an error in TM. He is listed as born in Odivelas, PR but it's probably the one in Portugal. Edit: just checked. There is no Odivelas in PR.
There's a UEFA U19 tournament this summer, with qualification ongoing. (The final round is coming up, with the prelims already in the books.) Seems not impossible that we'll see some relevant names pop up on rosters as things progress. It's for 2006s and younger.
Interest in Chris Brady from Scotland: https://bsky.app/profile/tombogert.bsky.social/post/3lge6dbcpfs2z

Canada U17 squad has a number of US-based players on it: Moise Clovis Archange – Orlando City U17 Dylan Judelson – Orlando City U17 Isaac Tortola – Columbus Crew Academy Marius Aiyenero – Los Angeles FC 2 Ransom, Jonathan // Atlanta United 2 There's usually not much info available on players this young when they haven't signed professional contracts. Since 17 year olds can't move for professional reasons between US & Canada unless they are US citizens (in this case), it's more likely than not that they are US citizens or Green Card holders. It's also possible their parents moved for non-footie reasons. But it is a big number compared to the past.
Tortola, Aiyenero, and Ransom have all been in US-camps before, so safe to say they're eligible for the USA or will be soon. Judelson hasn't, but based on what I've heard I'm about 99% sure he's eligible for the USA. Archange may be the one where there's any question, but I also have no real reason to believe he isn't eligible for the USA.
