Kevin O'Toole called up for a possible 1st Irish cap: After all the rumors about a US-raised Yank getting considered for Ireland (Tommy MacNamara was one), it's good to see someone actually called in.
Parkhurst had the strongest interest. He actually turned Ireland down. If he never chose the USA, McGlynn would have eventually found his way onto the team and there was interest from Ireland. Not sure if Gregg Berhalter or Sebastian had Irish interest. Gregg was good enough for Ireland but was capped-tied to the USA really young. I doubt Ireland felt they would have had much of a chance with Seb. The worst one was Henry Kessler, who actually had interest from Ireland (not clear how strong it was, but IIRC they were talking to him) but got cap-tied to the USA at the 2021 Gold Cup and will surely never play for the USMNT again. That was one costly cap.
