Gio Reyna. ANOTHER game winner: Gio Reyna Goal⚽️ Game Winner✅ https://t.co/pyzFS1EBXU— FootyKID (@baystatekid2003) January 25, 2023
I await people criticizing Berhalter for planning to use Gio off the bench, because he's scoring goals off the bench for Dortmund. People do realize that the more impact Reyna has as a supersub for Dortmund, the more it actually STRENGTHENS Berhalter's plan to use him in the same role for the USMNT. Right?
im digging the trend (if we can call it that yet) of americans hitting the eredivise ground running. im also down for any mention of go ahead eagles.
But you don't await posters to attack Berhalter, you troll for them. I see a difference. The Anti-Berhlater-defamation league and the Berhalter hater's club will always be at odds and they probably represent 10% of this board combined. It's kind of sad we have both camps in any state of activity at this point. It's all been rehashed.
One coach puts Gio in the bench, he came in scored two game winners for the team. Another coach puts Gio in the bench, he went to into a who-give-a-f mode. Now which coach you want for your team??? Wink, wink, wink.
The issues wasn’t that he was coming off the bench it’s that he was told he’d have a very limited role in the team. Those are two very different things. Having said that, I think we all should leave this in the past. Gregg is gone, let’s go get our new coach and let them do their thing
Hopefully US Soccer can afford a top tier coach considering they never have to hire Russian troll farms to post dumb crap to defend them online... plenty of Baghdad Bobs willing to work for free.
Negotiations continue between Leeds and Juventus for Weston McKennie as opening bid has been made for €28m, Juventus want €35m fee 🚨⚪️ #LUFCMcKennie has already agreed personal terms with Leeds. pic.twitter.com/Imog3q7rpF— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) January 25, 2023
Depends the team. Players from other MLS teams stated that in terms of intensity of practices, there was little difference between MLS and Europe.
The other video of the Reyna goal seems to not be working, here it is from ESPN GIO REYNA SCORES A STOPPAGE TIME WINNER FOR BORUSSIA DORTMUND!!! 😤WHAT A WEEK FOR THE 20-YEAR-OLD! pic.twitter.com/Mqd2QPnhU5— ESPN FC (@ESPNFC) January 25, 2023
Of course I do. What was the problem at the World Cup? That Berhalter told Reyna he was going to come off the bench, and have a "limited role." Reyna could accept it and had such a hissy fit that the staff had to discuss sending him home. [I think if he hadn't been this problem, we would have seen more of him.........but we'll never know.] At Dortmund, how many games has Reyna started since the beginning of calendar year 2022? Very few. Three? He accepts a bench role at Dortmund (when he's not hurt, which is a lot). He's a substitute. If you're on the bench, the game dictates whether you're used or not. So yes, I stand by that comment. Nobody else can agree. I'm no Berhalter apologist. Far from it actually. I just find it funny that people criticize him for his plan to bring him off the bench............when that's exactly what Dortmund is doing. And have for quite a long time now.
Brooks was unveiled this morning by Hoffenheim. Again not his biggest fan, but I do hope he is able to shut up haters and maybe earn another look (though now I think there's legit more depth than before)
Do you have a source from all other MLS teams' players claiming that practices are much more intense in Europe?
Because any discussion has to be used as a chance to relitigate old beefs by people on both sides of the tiresome argument.
Arsenal offer 'close to €30m' for Leeds target with Serie A star 'one step away' from transfer (football365.com) Looks like Arsenal are making a late move to knock Leeds out of the Weston sweepstakes.
