Only because they ignored Tim Ream. I hope they'll learn the lesson and start him every game upon coming back to PL in 2025.

pretty certain Robinson will be snapped up.

I know the three that go down tend to be the favorite three to go back up. I think, for Fulham and West Brom in particular, that will be true.

Siebatcheu scored again to finish the season.

15 goals and 4 assists across ~1750 minutes of league, domestic cup, ucl, and europa league action.

The highlight was probably the 3 goals against Leverkusen in Europga League

All the results fell Yedlin and Galatasaray's way today. They have a realistic chance of catching Besiktas for the Turkish title with a little bit of help from Goztepe, who have fought a pretty hard charging second half of the campaign. Galatasaray need to go in playing for the W from the get-go, against Yeni Malatyaspor, who are just above the relegation spots.

It's all to play for next week

Has an American ever won the Turkish title?
    Hmmmm.....................

Brad Friedel didn't at Galatasaray in 95/96, and would have been my guess. He won the Turkish Cup.
Jermaine Jones didn't at Besiktas. Tyler Boyd hasn't.
    Adu, Altidore, and Edu didn't.

So I guess the answer is no?

Not American, so... who cares? No Yank ever, it seems, has won the Super Lig.

welp, time time to root against Besiktas next week in that case. If Besiktas puts up an L, all Galatasaray need is a tie. But.......better play for the W

I have no clue what's going on with Sebastian Soto.
He forced his way out of Hannover. Got to Norwich, but wasn't eligible for Norwich. So they loaned him to Telstar in the Dutch 2nd division.
Norwich recalled him from that loan, and he hasn't even been playing for their U23 team.
Now it seems he's in California. Doing what? Who knows.

When the 2020-2021 Euro season ends, we'll have to say that Soto and Llanez have been two real headscratchers. Two players who've debuted for the USMNT, and even scored for the USMNT.
Both were on a really nice track, and now seem in limbo.

These youngsters may need some home cooking. Both LA MLS teams have good coaches and need forwards.

There's something about players who grow up in LA not being able to hack it abroad at least at an early age. Of course some do fine like Heyduk but Donovan, Soto and Llanez makes a bit of a pattern.

I dont think this is the case with Uly, but I've always gotten the impression since the rumored PSV move never materialized that Soto has gotten some less than stellar career advice

Seems very few of the top young yanks are from the West Coast.

Yep, close enough and I doubt anyone didn't know what I meant. Greater LA. Southern California.

IDK if that’s true, though the East Coast MLS academies are some of our best (Philly and NYRB in particular), and FCD at the top of the heap is obviously not on the West Coast.

But I wonder if the stats bear that intuition out.

South of Monterey is where SoCal starts, so anything south of that is SoCal, but obviously a place like SLO isn’t LA.

So Cal, yes. Carlsbad and Cardiff, aren't LA, greater or not. It would be like Boston is greater NY.

As a San Diegan ... no. Los Angeles is Los Angeles. You can call a lot of things LA for convenience sake to people who don't know geography -- from the OC to Ventura or Thousand Oaks ... it's nice shorthand for East Coasters.

But calling San Diego LA is like calling Philly part of New York City. Just no.

I have no idea if this is true, but

    a) it's worth noting that Sarri's words upon being fired were: "You send me away, but this team is untrainable."

    b) This release reeks of "we need to start seeding a firing of a club legend" type of club-influenced press.
