This is kind of funny but I'm currently watching Juventus v Dortmund and I keep seeing people here celebrating Weah's goal. At first I'm thinking maybe it was ruled offside, or if my TV feed in behind a few minutes, then just wondering what in the world is going on. Then of course remember Tim Weah transferred out of Juve to Marseille who are also playing atm. My total brain fart there....

 

Wait till you hear about Musah and Gio! (and, of course, I'm also watching the wrong game... grrrr.)

 

Weah's run to get into position on his goal was really good and sharp, came across behind from the left after the steal - covered a lot of ground to get into the open space and hammered it home.

 

And Marsaille get lucky there. Poor defense.

 

Amazing that his run took him to the right side away from his dominant eye and he was still able to finish.

 

He was shooting toward the left tho, so the eyes adjust...

 

Is it just me or do most of the Juve players ignore Wes' runs? And seems like most of them choose a wayward, specualtive cross to no one or the opposition.

I have the same prescription, apparently. He pushes high when the opportunity presents itself, but the effort normally goes unnoticed - and certainly unrewarded.

McKennine played well imo- but subbed off, not due to performance, but tactical. Juve bring more into the attack in an effort to equalize with 30 min left.

If that's the play, I would have moved Wes centrally to replace Koopmeiners who has added zilch.

 

Weah with an almost assist to Aubameyang. Good layoff leads to a hard, dangerous shot but it is saved.

Marseilles make some subs and Weah switches from LW to RW - Weah is probably tasked with helping shut down Vinicius on his side, who just came on.

RM may get a red card for a headbutt. The GK made a meal of it, but Carvajal did move his head forward in a striking motion.

Guys guarding Weah keep leaving this match. Truly stupid headbutt by Carvajal - had all the time in the world to calm down and walk away.

 

I hate Carvajal with a level of passion I usually reserve for early 2010s Barcelona players. He sucks.

 

Until Arsenal sign him during the winter window when they decide the missing piece for the team is an a-hole.
