Bad news for trusty and Celtic is that rangers won, but the good news for Celtic is that rangers won. Celtic are in third, but game in hand and three points back on hearts and one point back on rangers
Yes, I'm well aware of what's happening with the club team I follow. Sess has been decent at LB for Fulham but I'd be surprised by an England callup (barring a real injury crisis). He'd started the last few league matches not because he'd been particularly good, but because Antonee had honestly been quite poor.
Pulisic just on TV attending the US-Germany Olympic hockey game...interestingly I'm pretty sure Gio was sitting next to him and the broadcast only shouted out CP
I don't think it's Gio Reyna. https://www.reddit.com/r/usmnt/comments/1r5qt4w/pulisic_watching_olympics/
I think that might be Logan Panchot, USMNT U17 international, who was drafted by DC United and is now something to do with the block chain.
https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/70...hared_gift_article_copylink&smid=url-share-ta Gift link for an article about the new Middlesbrough manager. No mention of Aidan Morris but I already shared it somewhere else here so might as well get my money’s worth.
Thats a big matchup with big implications. Coventry desperately need to slow their slide and get some momentum again.
Wright with a brace so far against (until tonight) league-leaders Middlesborough. 2nd goal was as Route-1 as it gets. He's now tied for 2nd in the Championship goalscoring chart with 12 goals.
That was a BIG win for Coventry. Haji doing what he needs to do. Agyemang doing what he needs to do. The ball is in the court of Balogun. He hasn't scored in Ligue 1 since Thanksgiving. (And of course Pepi is doing nothing as he's out with injury.)
WOW, Haji hattie!!! Against a top two championship team! that is a freaking statement. As Clint stated, Coventry NEEDED that to stop the slide. Great to have two strikers busting down doors in the championship. In a crucial six pointer, Coventry are now up 1 point on Middlesbrough and 6 points clear in the automatic promotion spots with vastly superior goal difference. That said, with Coventry's recent track record, they shouldnt be too comfortable with that just yet.

Perhaps Poch takes all 4 strikers. Flo, Pepi, and Pat all have instinct traits and therefore deployments. To me Haji seems like a blend of of the 3 or backup for any of the slashing movement forward, crafty box guy, or big guy molds.
The value of a reserve is either protections against injury, fatigue or cards as well as the potential for tactical flexibility. We really seem unlikely to start a game with 2 striker. We may end one, though. Four strikers for, at most, 120 minutes of game time is beyond more than enough for managing fatigue. It's unnecessary. In terms of injury or suspension (which is rare for strikers), it seems excessive. Without any injury, are we necessarily even playing the third striker? I guess there's a situation where the lead striker is tired AND we go to two strikers ... so if someone is hurt or suspended, I guess we're happy we brought four. This is not impossible but somewhat unlikely. Tactical flexibility. I understand the Big Pat call for size and aerial ability. Flo and Haji play pretty similarly to me, with Haji being bigger and Flo being faster but a similar style of play. Pepi is a little more all around. There's some range there, but it doesn't seem like you need all four. I do think we have a lot of positional and tactical flexibility elsewhere, so I guess we could swing it. But is it worth bringing a 4th striker over carrying, say, Reyna and Aaronson? Or bringing a 5th centerback? Because that's conceivably the question. We shouldn't bring a guy just because we can't decide between them. We should only bring four strikers if we really see value versus the other options.
Agree with the above. For me, Haji has to be at the World Cup for his positional flexibility. He can play forward or wing, and play either position well. Haji isn’t a square peg being jammed into a round hole if played on the wing or at forward.
