Today was a pretty big game for PSV, they’re in trouble now. They’re sitting on 8 points, most scenarios have 9 points enough to get top 24 but their final 2 games are away against Newcastle and home against Bayern. Their main path would be for Bayern to rest their starters in that final game if they’ve already secured a top 8 spot. Everyone else’s teams should be alright. Atletico have a good chance to get a top 8 spot, and maybe Leverkusen too if they get 9/9 points. Which, looking at their schedule, is very possible.
A MAGICAL STRIKE FROM MCKENNIE IN THE #UCL 🪄pic.twitter.com/kVrAhB3sJW— U.S. Soccer Men's National Team (@USMNT) December 10, 2025 Great McKennie goal in the CL.
McKennie(RWB/RB in 343/4231) and Juve get the 2-0 win over Pafos in UCL action. Wes seems to have found his groove as a right sided player, rather than a CM. 1 goal 3 key passes 30/32 passing 6 recoveries 2/3 duels 0/0 fouls/fouled WS 8.3(MOTM)
He assisted for a potential penalty that was called back for a free-kick just outside the box. He does a lot more defensive work than he had to at PSV. Fotmob suggests Leverkusen lined up with a 4-3-2-1, with Tillman on the right-side on the 2, but it looked more like a 4-4-2 at times with Tillman as a left central midfielder. But teams formations flux a lot these days so it could have been both,
That's a bit weird that he'd either be on the right side if a 4-3-2-1 or the left side in a 4-4-2. As I said in another thread I've never seen so many bad projected lineups. Is it AI?
Fotmob is horrible with nominal formations. WS and Sofascore are better. The heatmap showed Tillman on the right and throughout much of the middle.
Antonee Robinson appears to be very close to returning to action. Silva on Jedi: "He's training with the team, last week was a good week for him. This week he has been with the team, another session tomorrow, let's see how he reacts after a 'complete week' - I'm here to find solutions." #FFC https://t.co/KaJYKdgvFb— Jack Kelly (@jackellyffc) December 11, 2025 Silva on Jedi: "Now it's a matter of time when we are going to decide for him to be in contention or not." #FFC https://t.co/oyvqcjEwnu— Jack Kelly (@jackellyffc) December 11, 2025
His stats tell the tale. He’s a change finding expert and is going to find and miss and make a lot of them. That’s what I expected when I saw his FB ref page when he made the switch and he’s been doing exactly that.
Celtic vs Roma in Europa today. Great chance to see Trusty (RCB) in Nancy's 3-4-3 vs 4th place in Serie A Roma!
Fun to watch Trusty playing at such a high level of competition. Interesting his CB partner, Liam Scales, is 4 days older than him.
Celtic getting worked though. Trusty one of the least culpable from what I have seen. So, he's got that going for him.
The gap between Celtic and Roma was really substantial. It wasn't like Trusty was culpable for the goals or the problem. Its just that talent gap was stark. That was a shellacking. And I see nothing in Trusty to suggest he's better than the MLS options (or Banks for that matter). Nancy has a lot of work cut out for him. The natives at Celtic Park are beyond restless...................
