Yes, looking of players that appeared in 20 or more games for Sunderland only 4 were part of their promotion campaign; Wilson Isidor, Enzo Le Fee (who joined on loan in January for the promotion push), Trai Hume, and Daniel Ballard. As for Hull... maybe? They had a transfer ban so this past year was loans and free transfers. Their owner is a big media guy in Turkey and he hasn't hidden since buying Hull that he wants to use the team to help build soccer/football in Turkey... and they have bought quite a few players either directly from Turkish teams or who have connections to the league. He's also hired 2 managers from Turkey.

They always use big numbers like that. But a lot those people were critically ill and the heat accelerated the process. My own mother is in that statistic. She died during the first heatwave in late May.
