And Pepi just scored! Hey, good to have that goin on. Its looking like Vazquez will be getting at least some minutes due to attrition too.
Pulisic got 90 and Musuh got 10 minutes in a 3-3 tie to Cagliari. Christ.......how is their defense THIS bad? You expect orders of magnitudes better from an Italian powerhouse
Wouldnt that be something...... I would be curious about Brian White if Vancouver gets dumped out. Dudes done just about all you can do in MLS to get a look.
Weah starting for Juventus against Torino. Weston starts on bench And Weah opens up the scoring 18th minute! Good week at the office for YAs so far, especially goalscorers

Nice assist from Johnny. 🇺🇸 Great run and cutback from Johnny Cardoso for his first assist of the season! Hopefully he brings his great form into his first USMNT camp under Poch 🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/xbVKSTdOju— American Ultras Talk (@ameriultrastalk) November 10, 2024
I thought McKenzie played well in Toulouse's 2-0 road shutout of Rennes. Usually shifted over to help defensively & didn't make mistakes in clearances/out balls. Toulouse were bunkering w/ the lead when I was watching. Seemingly coming to camp in some form, as is Trusty. That was a needed development for both now & potentially the '26 WC, if it keeps up. We needed those mid 20's progressions from CB's w/out many early bloomers. I think at that position especially we look passed this age group for youth, when Ream even improved & helped in his mid 30's. At least of the players w/ potential, we can't write off guys too early.
I've noticed the past few days that X links are not always embedding correctly, at least when I'm looking at the latest posts.
Nathaniel Brown goal.. who needs a fullback with two goals in two Bundesliga starts... after all we're not "desperate" we're just calling in 2 fullbacks on a 25-26 man roster 🇺🇸 Nathaniel Brown scores AGAIN, that’s a goal in both of his Bundesliga starts for Eintracht Frankfurt 🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/hxLOtEzkMY— American Ultras Talk (@ameriultrastalk) November 10, 2024 Nathaniel Brown is outplaying Maximilian Mittelstaedt today, the Germany starter at LB. He’s also 6 years younger. Don’t be surprised if a Germany call up is in Brown’s future, he could end up being a big loss for the USMNT.— American Ultras Talk (@ameriultrastalk) November 10, 2024 Pochettino spoke a little about dual national recruiting and his response was a little different than his predecessors. He's always open to dual nationals but seems to be much less about convincing and more about wanting to see people desperate to play for the #USMNT— Brian Sciaretta (@BrianSciaretta) November 10, 2024
I agree with Poch at least for this cycle. If a coach needs to beg you to consider playing for the USA at a WC they are hosting you may not be a player we need. There are games you need to grind through a slog and a coach needs to know all of his players are up for that.
I'm sure Pochettino is working on Brown behind the scenes. ..............but he's with Germany U21s this window. They're preparing for the 2025 U21 Euros, for which they've clinched qualification. We may have to be patient with him as long as Germany is interested.
I saw the last 15 or so minutes of the games and he created at least three good chances. He's a 10, that's his job, make and score chances. They don't count more or less if they happen earlier in the game.
Brown has been playing with the German U21s since September of 2023, he turned 19 that summer. He had 733 2.Liga minutes prior to that and maybe became a starter over the last handful of games. Usually German dual nats tend to stick it out with the DFB through their actual U21 cycle. I’d have to think getting minutes up a cycle increases the likelihood that they stick with the program.
Hopefully he does a Mailk Tillman and switches to play for the USA. Tillman represented Germany U21 team before he switched.
We got Gold Cup over the summer, the last major opportunity for a new uncapped player to make a case for 2026. Poch shouldn't promise them a WC spot but promise them an opportunity to make their case if they are fully committed.
How many generations back can we go? If to great grandfathers I may be eligible for 5 or 6 (probably like most Americans).
