Busio is good but I don't really watch or follow Venezia too much. I watched the Inter-Venezia game yesterday but couldn't tell how he played as I was distracted. Not sure if he was rested or whatever but he didn't start against Inter although he came on at halftime and got a 6 player rating from Sky. SUBENTRATO VENEZIA dal 46' BUSIO voto 6 Inter Venezia 1-0, le pagelle della partita di Serie A The Eurosport game day player ratings also gave him a 6 and stated he was a lot more active than Domen Črnigoj who he came on for... Serie A - Inter-Venezia 1-0, pagelle: Lautaro si sblocca ... (dal 46' BUSIO 6 - Più nel vivo del gioco rispetto al suo predecessore). I was mostly referring to American players starring and starting for top teams like Milan and Juventus.
Local rag LB - Antonee Robinson, 9 Might have been expected to have a quiet night with an in-form Bryan Mbeumo to deal with but quite the opposite. So positive when he gets the ball, some of his moments of vision tonight were truly fantastic, grabbing the assist for the winner.
Just not playing first team soccer. Been with Norwich reserves this season. Last year on loan in League Two. Still only 22. There's time. He just hasn't made the "next step" in his career yet.
The Malik at the 6 experiment/emergency is over. Playing as more of an 8 or 8/10. Just had a good hard low half volley shot saved.
I am not a rules expert but people seem to be saying you are okay as long as part of the foot is touching the line. I think his heel barely stays on, making it legal. Given the distances involved, I think he got a bit lucky there. (i.e. cutting it that close doesn't make a lot of sense given how far the ball is going.) Given the number of guys on our team with these kinds of throws, I wish we'd do this more.
Goal, Malik collects the ball wide on the left, D gives him space and he takes it all the way to the edge of the 6 before smashing it in low.
So a G and an A so far against Girona from La Liga? Earnie Stewart smiles as Malik's TM value goes up!
They showed another replay from a handheld camera on the sideline behind Malik. His left looks to still be partially on the line but it did look like his right foot may have been off the ground, which would make it a foul throw.
I watched it like 20 times and still can't quite figure out exactly how GK gets nothing on that. Defense so passive, "surely he's going to cross it, cut back..." Nope. Sometimes, best to drive aggressively, straight line to goal, and give it a go.
IDK if it was the prior UCL match where he played DM, but that was a breakout game of sorts, and this is one as an attacker. That should probably get him a place in senior camp. No way he can be trusted as a starter in a competitive match. That's something he earns w/ better friendly play. Bench offense for now. As much as Aaronson got flack for the Mexico game, he still badly out-played Tillman in creation & defense, as backed up by data. Not that we HAVE to start either. We could play CP at CAM in a diamond in front of MMA. Could just play MMA w/ a front 3. I'd consider starting Luna in the home game (not road).
Now after a red card and a PSV sub Malik is playing more as the pivot, still getting up around the box.
