Adams played about 30 minutes today (including injury time) as a 2nd half sub in Bournemouth's 2-1 win over Man City.

Haji looked to be in the middle there. Was he the CF?

Someone in the Scuffed Discord aptly compared Campbell’s late cameo to John Cale’s 4’33”

Weah didn't get to start on the left today.
Rough outing for Tillman with the error for the game winning goal. We know he's not a single-pivot 6.
Haji has started at FW for 3 matches in a row. 3 goals and 1 assist. Had an outstanding pass for the assist.

Pulisic off for Yunus Musah in the 88th minute.

Christian seemed to have a quiet game against Monza.

Still, he sort of had the secondary assist on Milan's game-winning goal. (Maybe not technically since the goal actually came off a rebound from a blocked shot but still...)

I know it was midweek and already discussed, but I still think it's crazy that we're living in a time in which both of Juventus' two goals in their Wednesday match are scored by Americans (with one of them assisting on the other's goal as well). Amazing stuff.

What's so cool is we don't really make much of it anymore. Go back five years and we had no one doing this regularly ever.

Since I started watching soccer or at least the days of the old NASL, I have been waiting to see an American score goals and/or shine in the Serie A.

When Alexi Lalas played and started for Padova in 1994-1995, I thought then that the floodgates would open for other players.

Sadly, after having lived and worked in Italy and even working for an important team, it was still pretty tough for Americans to get signed.

I know full well though how difficult it is for most Concacaf but especially American born players to make it with on a top Italian team.

Although it’s changing, there is still a lot of animosity and resentment towards the American player.

Seeing three national team players like Weah, McKennie and Pulisic score and become protagonists is something of a real treat and am very happy to see it.

Part of the reason expectations are what they are. An American was the best player at AC Milan last year, freaking AC Milan, the best player at Juve in fall '23 was McKennie, a ton of other guys had great years, yet it was the worst national team year since 2019. When results aren't congruent to that extent, fans are going to be pissed.

Seems like Lund lost his starting job over the last international window.
