Balogun came off injured after treatment. Didn’t see the incident just the aftermath. Some reports are it’s a shoulder issue.

Strong numbers from Paxten(DM in 4231) in a new position. It's really impressive that he has improved his physicality enough to play d-mid. The Philadelphia Union alumni sure know how to grind.

    1 goal
    27/31 passing
    11/15 duels
    0/1 fouls/fouled
    7 recoveries

The good academies teach their players to play both ways.

    Here he goes again…

It feels like he has cemented a jump in performance and firmly established a new level. Time for the next challenge.

Sorry…I meant lucky for ESPN+ they have NHL games or I would have cancelled. Not necessarily lucky for me, since TNT/TBS also air NHL, but having Plus means I can watch the teams who don’t normally broadcast on TNT/TBS.

I meant that he'd gotten ragdolled in the winter camp friendly against Serbia. He has likely shown improvement in physicality to be able to go on to play at d-mid.

McKennie and Tessman both came on as subs today, McK for 28'and Tessman for 16'

In 16' Tessman was 21/23 passing with 27 touches and added an interception and tackle and 1/1 duel. His sofa heat map shows him playing around the center circle

In 28' McK was 19/22 passing with 24 touches. His sofa heat map shows him playing the Allegri Mezzala role which puts him further up the pitch where he can pull up a deck chair and avoid traffic.

Tessman came on with Lyon leading 2-0 (ended 2-0); McKennie came on with Juve up 1-0 at home v. Cagliari. (ended 1-1).

The good news in all this is that Juve still doesn't seem to know how to get a healthy vibrant midfield into the team (apart from Koopmeiners). I mean, Pogba is sitting in the stands chomping at the bit after getting a reprieve from FIFA. While I would never have a McK on my team, I'd move to Australia before playing with Pogba. When McK came on they put Douglas Luiz on as well who plays like he'd rather be somewhere else. Maybe the guy in the front office picking these guys should be selling FIAT's in Detroit instead. Their best midfielder is Cambiaso who plays right back. Thuram seems like an average to good mid playing on a team that is used to better. I'm not really sure what he's actually doing.

Juve not winning the Scudetto this year.

I'm other news, Musah is not progressing like we had hoped. Not getting a good feeling about his career turn at the moment.

Strange day for our top US players in Italy. None of them did anything discreditable, but their teams disappointed.

Comments that I'm seeing from Milan fans indicate that Abraham grabbed the ball for the 2nd PK before Pulisic could grab it.
