I can't understand this at all. Sounds to me like Cannon was not paid his wages for months upon months, if not years, he then leaves, and then he has to pay them a million for them ----ing him over and him choosing to leave? In what world does that make any sense whatsoever. How can you be considered contracted, if you're not getting paid for months on end? Totally asinine. FTR, I don't understand any of this. It's bad enough that the NFL pays players funny money with guaranteed contracts that aren't guaranteed, but this "not paying a player his wages" issue seems to be endemic to the leagues everywhere. HOW?!?! It's utterly bizarre to me. They just don't seem to have the controls American sports usually places on owners before they allow them to buy teams (to ensure they can pay the required salaries).
The Crew are better than a good MLS team and Morris frequently helped them dominate possession. Though Nagbe is the foundation for it. Some teams frequently will try to man mark Nagbe to force Columbus to start the build elsewhere, and that usually meant Morris. He has improved technically and with his passing. Though most often it is connective not penetrating/through balls. He had 8 assists in all comps for Columbus this year. He is never gonna have top end athleticism, but has top end intensity and has gotten better at reading the game and not exposing the backline with over-aggressive pressing. As a Crew STH, I'll take Morris over Trapp all day long.
I'm no lawyer, but I have to think a contract is invalidated if one side doesn't deliver. Beyond that, I think wage theft and similar nonsense is an entirely predictable result of awarding places in a league based on how the ball bounces rather than the fitness of the ownership group.
Poss YA related given Koleosho status but please don’t make burnley the team to beat again……. Don’t……. They suck…..

Watched Cole Campbell’s U-19 game. Here are some thoughts: 1. He started as right winger wearing #10. The opposite winger is #11, and they did switching some times during the game. 2. He can dribble, but not kind of Puli long run style, more like he already have 1, 2 or 3 defenders in front of him as cold start run. In this kind of situation, his dribble is more Dest than Puli. But stationary dribbling, he is better than Puli. 3. He took care most of corners and free kicks and prefer to use left foot. He is already BETTER at this, because his services always clearing the first line of defense. The 2nd goal scored from his free kick, at right side top of box. He did try to shot at the goal but using left foot floating to the right side of box, where his teammate finished with a good header. 4. The first goal scored because the #11 carried box crossing box and slip him a pass behind the defenders. Scold coming in with left foot strike that hit the right post and bounced all the way outside the left top of box, his left back coming with a strike. The 3rd goal he ran on a pass and scored with right foot between the rushing goalie and defender. 5. His skill level may already bypass Weah, Yow, Booth and even Parades. But he may not ready for Dortmund’s big boy (not excluding cup games etc.) But he can definitely start for Bundesliga 2 clubs and even be a rotational player for bottom half Bundesliga teams as coach said.
Considering Wrexham's ownership, it seems fitting for a former Philadelphia player/academy product to play a major role in knocking them out of the cup.
Ended 4-1 blades also Slonina had a great pk shootout against Wigan , great start to season, saved two shots. I’m Pretty stunned a championship team didn’t try fir him
3pm EDT Leeds host M/borough in Moose Cup with Paramount streaming the game Morris starting for Boro and Brenden for Leeds.
Looks like Leeds took a dump at midfield this match yikes. Not a great start for Farke and the widely assumed winners of the Championship this year.
Johnny futbol starting in the bench against Girona……. That would not be happening unlessss…….. keep him around one more season boys it’ll be in the best interests of both parties. His value could literally double with another solid season
Sounds like McKenzie strongest link right now is Toulouse by a wide margin. Would love that move LDLT is also trying to be shopped by Celta Vigo as well so guess we keep an eye on that one too
McKenzie to Toulouse done deal. Like that level for him. He will get some good minutes there for sure. Also great to see Haji going hard right out of the gate.

Poch will have plenty of variety to work with.
Haji has become a stone cold killer man, you love to see it. for left backs, Fulham and Jedi lost 1-0 to Man U. Zirkzee looks like hes gonna be a heck of a signing for them. Lund and Palermo lose to Brescia despite apparently dominating the match, gave up a 90th minute injury time goal
