Count me as somebody who think Aaronson is going to have a really good year. Brenden Aaronson’s equalizer that leveled the game in Leeds United’s 3-3 draw against Portsmouth![🎥: @CBSSportsGolazo]pic.twitter.com/oQb7EMq3n6— USMNT Otaku 🇺🇸 (@USMNTOtaku) August 10, 2024
Also good news that Aidan Morris goes right into the XI. Boro won 1-0 over Swansea. No messing around. Aidan Morris right into the XI. https://t.co/wLRKCk6ehG— Daniel (@DanielSmith1022) August 10, 2024
🇺🇸 Josh Wynder GOAL for Benfica B in their season opener! What a way to come back from injury 🇺🇸 https://t.co/FToi68ohCb— American Ultras Talk (@ameriultrastalk) August 10, 2024
Am I seeing this right? Richy Ledezma starts for PSV in the season opener...at RB? Not on my bingo card.
Reynolds also with a goal today. 🇺🇸 Bryan Reynolds GOAL and Westerlo are flying! An assist last week and now only his second goal for the club, Reynolds is in red hot form 🇺🇸 https://t.co/2ZU21OmAaQ— American Ultras Talk (@ameriultrastalk) August 10, 2024
Tillman(AM in 4231) and Ledezma(RB in 4231) and PSV get the 5-1 win over Waalwijk. Big numbers from Tillman. This could be the season he moves from good young player to the one of the best on his team. Tillman 1 goal 41/46 passing 4 key passes 3/4 long balls 5/7 ground duels 8 recoveries Fotmob(8.9)MOTM SofaScore(8.4)3rd Ledezma 1 clearance off the line 63/66 passing 0/3 duels 0/0 fouls/fouled Fotmob(7.6)8th SofaScore(7.4)8th
63/66 passing holy F…….. we might have something there. Granted gotta see if it’s higher standard than eredivisie bottom feeders but it’s absolutely a great start
I must have missed de la Fuente's move to Switzerland. 🇺🇸 Konrad de la Fuente is on the bench for Lausanne-Sport today against Zürich 🇺🇸 https://t.co/D8Bct1imhs— American Ultras Talk (@ameriultrastalk) August 11, 2024
He almost got the game winner too. I still think Brendo wasn't as bad as some seem to act for Union. Not saying he was great but I don't think he ever looked like he didn't belong. Also watched Boro yesterday. Twitter is focusing on Aiden Morris having a bad pass across the front of his own goal (though many Boro players had same issue) but thought overall a very good debut for him.
1. Good news from PSV — Malik scored two goals and first one called offside and I still scratch my head to find out. 2. Good news from PSV — We have a new right back who is the Star of the game. 3. Bad news from PSV (but good for El Tri) — Pepi subs in but cannot score (as in Copa), but Chucky easily scored two goals as sub.
I continue to think Cole Campbell should be very high up on our list of potential breakouts for this season. This kid has something. Worth a reminder that he wasn't with the U20s for their recent U20 CONCACAF Championships run. Unlikely to get released to the U20WC either. The second this kid debuts for Dortmund, we're going to demand a USMNT callup like we were with Pulisic and Reyna. He has that much potential. [Also, at Dortmund: USYNTers Mathis Albert and Jack Mize played for the U17s. Both are "upwardly mobile." Mathis Albert started on the left wing. Albert moved from the Galaxy academy and Mize from the NYRB academy.] Renowned Schalke U19 manager Norbert Elgert on Cole Campbell:"Cole Campbell is a Bundesliga player. He would be a regular in our first team. He is brutally good."Comes after Campbell scored & assisted twice with the Borussia Dortmund U19s vs Schalke U19 on Saturday https://t.co/THFeSphZtl— USA Ballers Abroad ⚽️ (@USBallersAbroad) August 12, 2024 GOOOL de Cole Campbell (🇺🇸/06) que sentencia el partido haciendo el 1-3 a falta de 10 minutos.Asistencia de Fidjeu-Tazemeta.#BVBU19 pic.twitter.com/VSGBmwWMzM— Daxo (@daxooo_) August 10, 2024
Yeah, he does not appear to be that far off the Puli, Gio timeline at Dortmund. Have to think he will be getting his first team debut soon. If Gio stays, and when this kid breaks into the first team, BVB is going to be must see TV for me.
Indeed. Pulisic and Gio essentially skipped Dortmund II, and I won't be surprised if Campbell does as well. One difference. Cole Campbell is already 18. Will turn 19 this club season. So he's already older than Reyna and Pulisic when they made their debuts. [Pulisic was 17 year old 4 months, and Reyna debuted even earlier at 17 years old 44 days.] Then, of course, Moukoko blew them away at Dortmund. He debuted the day after his 16th birthday. We've been talking about this worldwide trend on the youth forum. All around the world players are debuting at younger and younger and younger ages. The records for youngest debuts in La Liga, Premier League, Bundesliga, and Serie A have all been set since 2020. And by the way, this was not at small clubs. Arsenal in the Premier League. Dortmund in the Bundesliga. AC Milan in Serie A. Youngsters play with some regularity in Liga MX. Folks will remember the comedy in Liga MX last year. 16 year old Diego Reyes playing for Club America and having to cover up their shirt sponsor (a gambling company). [We were talking about it with regards to Cavan Sullivan setting the MLS record.]

Wow…… good for him. Perhaps I’m short changing Mr Amo. I rate him will trapp level but I’d be very happy to be wrong
i dont know how to say "no offense but thats dumb", but no offense...but thats dumb. he already far surpassed trapp in mls in like a third of the time. hes closer to musah than he is trapp.
His game is a lot different than Trapp, even if he has a somewhat physical similarity while playing the same position and originating from the same club…. I’d say, he’s sort of a knock off Jermaine Jones. Plays like a bully. Aggressive, tenacious, pretty mobile for someone who might not have the best end line to end line pace, decent shot on him, but not super technical either ~ at least not good enough to help his team dominate the midfield in possession. On the other hand, I always felt like Trapp wanted to be Pirlo without the level of skill as Pirlo and even less athleticism and not as willing to get stuck in on challenges. Trapp probably had better vision than Morris ~ but again, it doesn’t help to not be an athlete.
I also don't think Morris has a super-high ceiling. He's going to be 23 in November, hasn't gotten above MLS/Championship level, and hasn't looked great in his few caps with the USMNT. That said, he was a good player for a good MLS team and looked good in CCL, so I'm not surprised he looked good in the Championship. I just wonder if he can take his game to the level above that.
