I believe there is no minimum age requirement for the CWC (unlike the Bundesliga) and if so Albert could debut at some point in theory.

If this Bayern vs Auckland City game is any indication, I can see Albert getting some actual minutes in this tournament
Found this comment re Aidan Morris on a Middlesbrough forum. Rate the signing. wilsoncgp Posted Tuesday at 10:03 AM 9- I love pretty much everything about this signing. He's confident, he's always asking for the ball, he's nothing extravagant yet but he's kind of everywhere on his day. He's made a couple of mistakes but really, when you consider his experience and never having played in the Championship before, I can forgive that. The team was better with him in it and missed him when he was injured. This kind of signing is a huge vote of confidence in the scouting and recruitment team too, finding a player from overseas who comes in and plays like somebody with years of experience in the league. It feels rare to bring in this kind of player for that kind of value recruiting in this division, particularly at his age. Other comments rated Morris highly before his injury but recognized that his form dipped after an injury. Still it's good to see positive comments about a Yank's impact abroad.

They subbed all four mids and he wasn’t one of them. They needed a goal, too. They just don’t rate him, he has to leave.
How do you solve the wages issue? I assume if that issue is solved he should be able to be moved. It would be a colossal catastrophe if he was still there in September. Reminds me of staying those 2 last years in Chelsea for Pulisic. I HATED that Reyna signed an extension to get the idiotic Nottingham move done, brutal. If he couldn't get the move to Spain or France rumored 18 months ago, he should have simply stuck around and then moved last summer. Hopefully it happens anyway....
They'll probably wait thru the window to see if they get any action on a transfer. You may have to send him on loan and pick up part of the salary for the honor of doing so. His wages are high but aren't horrific. According to capology, anyway, they're similar to Ricardo Pepi's at PSV. At least that was the case for 2024-2025. He's shown enough over the years to generation action. We'll see.
Yeah, which is why I was surprised they even wanted him at Club World Cup versus letting him figure out his club future.
Subaru Park, Chester, PA. Chelsea is using the Union's training facility as their home while stateside. They also play two games in Philly.
Albert gets a profile in the Athletic https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6432311/2025/06/18/mathis-albert-american-club-world-cup/
I mean the Athletic doesn’t make the FIFA sales posters. But also not sure why a 16 from LA who isn’t likely to play would impact ticket sales for a weekday noon game in NY.
Number of New Yorkers willing to travel to the East Rutherford swamp on a Tuesday afternoon just to watch Gio Reyna is probably one less than the number of Gio Reynas in Dortmund's squad.
I think they only care about the prize money. FIFA put a good sized amount on the table to make sure the European clubs didn’t treat this like a glorified preseason.
