Offseason, I think Dest stays and Tillman goes for a haul. With the haul, I really hope they bring Gio Reyna in as the replacement. I know Earnie obviously isnt in the business of picking yanks to help our program.........but hes shown hes certainly not adverse to it. I also think he keeps Dest on one more season because of the injury both boost his profile for sale and because PSV are orders and magnitudes better when he is there. He was just as much of a critical node as Tillman was in their resurgence. Totally different team when hes on the field. I also really......really hope Pepi is "the guy" next year up top
Id love to see Cade go the other way from the Ledezma deal, but thats purely my own selfish pick. Kid needs a change of scenery. Would be a challenge given Esmir is there too at the same position. Serie A matches start in 5. Lets go Venezia, lets go Monza, and lets go Torino!
welp that was less than ideal........down 1-0 to Cagliari 12 minutes in edit: and we are back in the relegation zone because apparently Lecce has head-to-head on us, which outweighs goal diff in italy. Crapplejuice.
Tillman goal Malik Tillman puts the icing on PSV's Eredivisie cake 💥USMNT trio Tillman, Ricardo Pepi and Sergino Dest are champions of the Netherlands once again, as PSV come from nine points behind Ajax with five games to play and claim an astonishing title 🇺🇸pic.twitter.com/4AEQqChtjI— Men in Blazers (@MenInBlazers) May 18, 2025 Malik Tillman in PSV's Eredivisie title deciding win over Sparta:◉ 8.6 FotMob rating ✅◉ 1 goal (21st G/A of the season) ⚽️◉ 2/3 (67%) successful dribbles 🌪️◉ 9 recoveries ⚡️◉ 7/10 (70%) ground duels won ⚔️◉ 3 fouls drawn 💥𝐄𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐞 𝐌𝐕𝐏.#usmnt pic.twitter.com/SyGSKCWHGA— USMNT Report 🇺🇸🇹🇷 (@USMNTReport) May 18, 2025 6 goals and an assist in his last 10 Eredivisie games.22-year-old Malik Tillman played a key role in PSV’s incredible title-winning run! 🏆🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/bDSLZpRri3— Football Talent Scout - Jacek Kulig (@FTalentScout) May 18, 2025 Drunk Malik Tillman is back. 😂😂😂😂 [🎥: @voetbalzonenl]pic.twitter.com/E6JKgQOCEJ— USMNT Otaku 🇺🇸 (@USMNTOtaku) May 18, 2025
2-0 to Cagliari........not going great. Monza at least beating Empoli. Torino needs to break down Lecce for Venezia to get out of relegation zone. edit: empoli just leveled with Monza and Lecce just took the lead on Torino.........horrible. If it stands, Venezia would need to beat Juventus at home and hope for a Lecce loss edit: horror show for Venezia playing out Empoli just went ahead on Monza 2-1
Bloodbath is over. Not expecting any help today. Venezia two points back from survival. Need help from Hellas to beat Empoli in their house and Lazio to beat Lecce..........and need to beat a Juventus team that will likely have the champions league spot on the line. Well, that certainly all sucks quite a lot. Perhaps more interesting for most folks, Lazio just tied it up with Inter 1-1 75th minute. Napoli vs Parma is 0-0. That inter result holds and Napoli gets a goal against Parma, title would be wrapped up today.

Inter went up 2-1 but Lazio tied it up 2-2 in injury time, absolute panda freaking monium in scudetto race. both coaches ejected. Parma-Napoli still 0-0 and Conte gets ejected! Neither Napoli or Inter Milan will have their coach for the deciding match day Juventus up 2-0 now, will still need a result at Venezia to ensure champions league ball, which is bare minimum I think theyll accept. Serie A Final match day is going to be must see TV for soccer fans around the world
I didnt watch the game but there is significant concern for Weston McKinnie who looked to be in a lot of pain taking on an injury at the end of the game.
Yeah I doubt Busio will be in Serie A next season This all but seals Venezia’s relegation back to Serie B. Curious to see if Gianluca Busio decides to stay or looks for a new club, not sure that he’s Serie A quality but he can do better than Serie B. https://t.co/ljrMNMY73p— American Ultras Talk (@usmntaut) May 18, 2025
2 Bundesliga... bummer that Santiago Castaneda won't be moving up... GF barely survived relegation to the third division and Max Dietz may be on the preliminary roster? The 2.Bundesliga season concludes- Damion’s Downs & Cologne are promoted after a 4-0 win over Kaiserslautern. Downs assisted on 2nd goal- Santiago Castaneda & Paderborn come up short of promotion with 3-0 loss to Karlsruher. Gazzetta dello Sport player ratings: 1=low; 10-high. • Italian Serie A: Christian Pulisic helped set up AC Milan's goal and Yunus Musah got his first start since April 5 in a 3-1 loss to Roma that ends Milan's chances of competing in any of the three European competitions next season.
Major changes needed for Milan this off-season. From top to bottom. Hopefully......................from a USMNT fan's point of view.............Juventus qualifies for the Champions League. You wonder whether the McKennie extension isn't being completed until that qualification is earned.
We'll see what Redbird prioritize, Toulouse, Milan, or increasing their stake in Liverpool (which is problematic as Sheikh Mansour is an investor).
Not the end of the world for Pulisic not to be in European competition next year specifically. Helps from his minutes getting overloaded in a World Cup year.
So the silly season has started. Rumors are making the rounds that PSV has put a minimum $50M price tag to consider selling Malik Tillman this summer. I guess PSV did not read the BS posters views that Sabari and Til are better players.
I'm sure people will say this doesn't matter but it certainly beats NOT being player of the season Malik Tillman is WhoScored Eredivisie Player of the Season
I think that Perisic pick hints at the quality of the league. He’s 36, hardly played at Spurs before arriving in Holland, firstly because of injuries and when he returned he was loaned to Hajduk Split. It’s an iffy league. Probably better than MLS but in the same tier. Kinda like Benteke being dropped from Crystal Palace, comes to DC and wins a golden boot. The competition week to week isn’t strong. 100% correct though, better to be in the best IX than not. Definitely deserves to be on the final GC roster, and I hope when his chance comes he seizes it, we need him to be really good.
Can’t forget that Earnie Stewart was the guy who the Reynas burned during the World Cup. I think its safe to say that Gio burned that bridge and that the PSV door is closed.
That’s good company. Perisic was fantastic in every game I saw. He’s a dynamo. For Malik to get in that conversation is something.
I think that Dest would be well served to take a senior leadership role at PSV. The fans love him and he is a killer weapon for them. So long as he is there they will have a unique dynamic by which offensive players can come aboard and benefit.
Agreed, he will be the new critical node at PSV. No harm in being big fish in a small pond one more year. No injury??? Hes on the Tillman track and outa here....... but due to that injury? yeah, one more year is probably in his best interests and PSV's. Thats a mutually beneficial relationship. Also forgot about the Gio-Ernie thing. Maybe get Gutierrez or Zendejas on over there then.
