Now 2-0 Downs off 58th minute. I’m still flabbergasted how many big clubs are in the 2BL

If we're looking at potential breakouts from our yanks abroad this season, Banks would seem to be a decent guess. Not released to the U20s for their CONCACAF Championships, and probably won't be released for the U20WC. A new coach will probably want to call him up early to keep him in the fold.

Here's Bryan Reynolds' assist. He really is a good crosser. Shame he wasn't released for the Olympics.

Knowing who's ready in Germany and Europe would be an advantage for Matarazzo if he's chosen. It used to be an advantage to know the MLS pool but now that almost all of the best players are in Europe it makes more sense to hire someone who coaches there.

If Turner stays at Nottingham Forest, I’m all for replacing him. He’s not good enough for the national team where he cannot be replaced.

The least interesting competition in Europe is underway. Celtic currently winning 1-0 in minute 30 with CCV starting in his usual place.

Yes but even when there's a "NOW HIRING" sign in the window, guys like Schulte are like "nah, Im good......" I fear its Turner's until then.

Only thing that's going to move the needle is Gaga to Stratsbourg. We really need to hope for that.

Is there anything official about Slonina going to Strasbourg? I haven't seen anything official.

Nothing official. The only thing I've seen is this piece in L'Equippe from a few months back about how after Strasbourg sold their former #1 keeper (Matz Sels) to Nottingham Forest in January, the 22 year old understudy who replaced him in net (Alaa Bellaarouch) hasn't been convincing, so they're now exploring options for this upcoming season, which could include Slonina.

I’m going to keep banging this drum but I think Matt Freese is the guy who deserves a look in the short term. Longer term some of the younger goalies might surpass him, but he’s been playing at a very high level in MLS. He should get called into the next camp alongside Turner.

What % of our 30-40 top guys do you think he has scouted because he thought he could be facing them?

I doubt he's scouted any that aren't in Bundesliga but then again maybe some are scouted and discussed as possible options to bring in. Seeing as how he's been in Bundesliga for five years and a lot of of our guys have played and passed through there I think that would be quite a few.

Poor Cowell. Joins a team in another league only to lose again to LAG.
