Only saw the FH of Betis v. Valencia. Johnny looked improved physically and emotionally. Over the longer term, I see him improving his speed and getting a little leaner.

It's so interesting to see the set up at Betis because Johnny's partner in the 6 role is Guido who resembles Adams in his style. Vs. Valencia, Guido seemed to be playing vs Valencia's left wing against the ball with Johnny holding centre while, in possession, Johnny would venture forward a little more. It's almost exactly the way I see it playing out with USMNT, especially since the CAM for Betis is Isco who resembles Gio in style (we wish - I'm looking at you Gio:whistling:).

I would find a way to keep McKennie in the lineup.

That view, from behind Busio as he shoots with the mountain in the background, is SPECTACULAR.

And I realized I had it backward --- it is the view from behind THE KEEPER as Busio shoots, with the mountain directly behind Busio of which I speak.

It appears Ryo Germain had a brace today for Jubilo Iwati in the J-League. That's 9 goals in 9 games on the young season. 4-4-2 striker, apparently?

Flo starting against Brest in a match that has huge implications for Monaco's champions league chances.

Reyna was subbed out 53rd minute as Forest yet again dropped points in a very important game for them. Everton edge to safety while Forest are still in it. 2-0 everton. They play away to Sheffield United next and I feel thats a must win.

Dest is one of the more difficult-to-replace guys in our lineup. We will have to consider some out-of-the-box solutions. Wes is one. Weah is another. Musah has played wingback and even a little bit of RB. Adams is another possibility.

Put him on the list to take penalties if we end up in PKs in the Copa America or World Cup.

Pulisic for sure. Reyna I’d imagine. Balogun has missed some penalties over his career so probably not him.

We just have penalty shootouts so rarely and most our guys don’t take them with their club. The ones we had in the Gold Cup with the B team were the first we had in awhile
