American owners sweep the EFL Championship and League One automatic promotion slots, with nods to Canada, Hong Kong and Austria.
Millwall could creep into the Championship playoffs but they'll need a result at Burnley on Saturday that's better than Coventry's result at home to Middlesbrough.
Fenway Sports Group, needing a point to win the Premier League, are 5-1 up against Tottenham Hotspur's reserves. And it looks like the FA Cup final will be Abu Dhabi/Silver Lake vs Textor, Blitz, Harris and Parish.
Carlisle United's US owners say they are "deeply sorry" over the club's relegation from the English Football League (EFL) and that they "take responsibility". The Blues were relegated from League Two to the National League after losing 3-2 at Cheltenham Town on Saturday. It is 20 years since they were last relegated from the EFL. Chairman Tom Piatak said the "frustration and anger felt across the fanbase is fully shared by us" and added the group would "not hide from the work ahead". Mr Piatak, a businessman from Florida whose family have been in charge of Carlisle since November 2023, said the season "started with ambition and hope". However the club were in the bottom two for all bar three days since early October. 'A painful day' "We fell short of the standards you rightly expect," the owner continued, describing Saturday's match as a "painful day". "Yet in the face of that, your loyalty has been extraordinary. "From 11,000 at Brunton Park on Good Friday to almost 1,000 of you in Cheltenham today, you've never stopped showing up. "That unwavering support is the soul of this football club."
A bit OT, but Michelle Kang-owned London City Lionesses have won promotion to the WSL, England's top women's tier. This is the 1st independent team to make the WSL. https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_...kang-owned-london-city-lionesses-promoted-wsl
Crystal Palace may be about to go all-American. John Textor is trying to buy David Blitzer and Josh Harris' shares to take his stake to more than 80%. Meanwhile Steve Parrish is negotiating the sale of his stake to Woody Johnson, owner of the NY Jets.

I will update the master list by the end of next week. I was waiting for all European leagues on the traditional Fall-Spring schedule to complete their seasons.
John Textor in the news again. "Crystal Palace will meet with UEFA on Tuesday to discuss the club's first Europa League campaign. The FA Cup-winning Eagles are facing exclusion from European football due to John Textor's co-ownership situation. Textor owns about 43 percent of Palace's shares and is also the majority shareholder of Olympique Lyon, which has also qualified for the Europa League. UEFA regulations state that two clubs with the same owner are not allowed to participate in the same tournament. The highest final ranking in the competition takes precedence. Lyon finished sixth in Ligue 1, Palace twelfth in England. Palace realizes the urgency and will meet with UEFA on Tuesday for an emergency meeting. According to English media, the club believes in a good outcome, because Textor only holds 25 percent of the voting rights and has no decision-making power. If UEFA does not give the green light, participation in the Conference League is not a certainty. Investor David Blitzer is a co-owner of Palace and is the majority shareholder of Brøndby IF, which finished third in the Danish league and thus qualified for the Conference League. If UEFA does not agree, Textor will have to sell his interests at breakneck speed if Palace wants to participate in the Europa League. There are also other financial tricks, although they have little chance of success at the last minute, according to reports from England. If Palace is excluded from European football, Nottingham Forest will move up to the Europa League and Brighton & Hove Albion will go into the Conference League."

To answer my own question. A-Cap is going to auction all of their ownership shares in Standard, Sevilla, Genoa, Vasco da Gama and Hertha Berlin on Friday.
As most of us know, John Textor is an interesting person. This decision is another one of those. Belgium has a long tradition of merging clubs and they have a strong tradition of the Matricule number. This is the order of founding of the clubs. Somewhere back in a long and complicated history, RWDM had the 2nd Matricule, Daring Club de Brussels. Textor yesterday announced that RWDM will be no more and the club will now be called Daring Brussels.
According to this article, Standard has been sold outright to Giacomo Angelini and are now part of SDL Holding. So I remove them from the list. It also appears that Melbourne Victory has been removed from the 777 group, I will also remove them from the list. A full article about the other clubs and the auction can be found here.
Yeah that rumor has been around for a while, and it's probably too late now, especially with the big fat Greek Forest owner threatening to sue.

UEFA qualification could get very complicated. Sheikh Mansour, the owner of Man City, Troyes and Girona, has a stake in Redbird Capital, who own AC Milan and Toulouse and have a stake in FSG, who own Liverpool and may soon own Getafe.
Looks like this will allow both CP and Lyon to play in Europe this season. I will update the list when it is official.
The Trivela Group owns the following clubs - Silkeborg FC in Denmark, Walsall FC in England, Drogheda United In Ireland and Trivela FC Togo in Togo. This group has been in the news recently as Drogheda United will not be able to play in Europe as Silkeborg FC and them would have competed in the same competition.
