https://sports.yahoo.com/stanley-tang-interested-buying-lyon-182200833.html Hong Kong-American businessman Stanley Tang has held talks with Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish about acquiring a stake in the Premier League club. The billionaire is interested in acquiring the 46% stake currently owned by Lyon owner John Textor.
Slight update about 777 Group and Standard Liege specifically. Seems that a new owner is not on the near horizon for Standard.
John Textor owned Lyon has been given a provisional relegation by the DNGC. "Lyon is in serious financial trouble. Les Gones are struggling with debts of between 458 and 508 million euros. Logically, this has not gone unnoticed by the DNGC (Direction Nationale du Contrôle de Gestion). They have decided to hand out a considerable punishment to Lyon for the time being. Should the club fail to demonstrate in the very short term that drastic financial recovery is feasible, it will be relegated to Ligue 2. The club will also be given a transfer ban and an external party will be brought in to oversee the salary structure."
