Hopefully, Ronnie was back home scouting out some more danish talent...

With the cap room saved from Ariel, Wade and Joe, we should be able to retain Ronnie, Richard and bring in a discovery...

See...there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Soon we will be signing discovery player to fill in one of the holes...

We will be competitive this year, and as Dayak said, as long as we make it to the playoffs, anything can happen. Hopefully, this year we will peak at the end of the season!

Those two words together have a 1:10000000 chance of happening, and last season he wore #6 for some team named the San Jose Earthquakes.

Bring in Ebbe Sand or Jon Dahl Tomasson (the latter not being able to fit into AC Milan)

I know that I am relatively new to these message boards, but I would think that someone with as many posts a tealboy would be smarter than this...

It is pretty tough for a country of 5 million people to be ranked #12 in the world without some DANISH TALENT.

    FYI:

This is excellent news. At least our "nucleus" will hold us up until the lineup gets comfortable and settled. Considering a good chunk of our veterans are still with the team, I think we'll do ok this season.

    So you pessimists: lighten up!

This is coming from former Clash fans? It can't possibly be as bad as the Clash era. (I hope.) Where's the faith...

If the Quakes keep Mulrooney and Ekelund, they'll be fine. If they can "discover" a forward to go with LD and DeRosario, and maybe acquire Walker, they'll be as good as ever, especially if Dunivant can fill in at left back immediately.

    As for right back....

I think we don't need to focus on the forwards as much as the other positions such as the outside back and midfields. DeRo and Donovan up front, Barclay as the substitute, possibly working his way into the lineup. Arturo Alvarez gets peanut minutes.

Remember that they already acquired a right back who is just as good or better than the ones they played last year. Waibel for Conrad/Ibsen.

And hopefully, FY is still looking for a way to improve upon that.

Hmmm, from amongst the limited minutes that Waibel has played in MLS, I've only seen him operate as a left back or center half.

Give us Donovan and you can have him.

Otherwise, I'd have to think SJ is a much more natural fit for Frankie Hejduk than CBus.

    Hot Damn!!!

Thanks for bringing this article to my attention. I'm feeling much better knowing that Ekelund and Mulrooney are returing.

I think stopper4 has answered your question. He's too important to Dallas; they wouldn't want to give him up.

Doesn't matter, my point still stands. :)

Actually, I am not sure, but I thought he was right footed. He may not have seen time there with the Galaxy because their needs were elsewhere. But I could be wrong.

I still think Wade is biggest loss. That guy is in his prime right now. He shone when he played for the U.S. and did an exceptional job against Spurs last summer. I know the Spurs side had a bunch of old guys but Wade really stood out for DC. I forget, why did he play again ?
