Don't know if anyone else has discovered this, I hadn't seen it posted. Last I checked a few weeks ago Yahoo Plus! was still not allowing Mac users to access the video streams. Well I was going to make an attempt to figure out the stream URLs tonight when low and behold I realized that it now works with MacOS. Now you have to have OS X 10.1.x, it still forces you to use IE 5.2 and you have to have WMP9 installed but it does now work. Good news
It's been working for me for several weeks at least. But you still can't pause, ffwd, rewind, or go full screen. My iBook can do zoom by using CMD+Option+8 to enable it, then CMD+Option+= to zoom in and - to zoom out. I then hook the video output to my VCR aux in, and watch it on the TV/stereo. Works pretty well. Except that sometimes the video will lock up if I'm in high speed (300k) mode. The audio continues but the picture is frozen. This happened to me today in the 48th minute of the LA/DC game, which pissed me off because to get back to that point I'd have to sit through 48 minutes over again!!! I wish they'd at least split it into two files the way they do the Serie A games, so you could just start up at halftime in this situation. G3 iBook, 600 MHz, 640 MB, OS X 10.3.3
Yeah I fired off an email of praise and complaint regarding exactly what you just said. Thing is i just loaded it on my mom's PC laptop and it doesn't have controls on it either so it's not just us.
