    At least Wynalda says stuff.

I would really like a player to come out and publically state that there is a problem with the team. Freddy kinda does it on his twitter, but that is it.

Was he dissing freddy or sarcasm for not playing him?

I wonder if his whole "generation" feels the same way. It would explain a lot.

    Definitely dissing Freddy.

Some ppl on here think Freddy's our best player while people who actually know soccer tend to say hes far from it.

Well that certainly sounds like him...

but aren't there a few Eric Wynaldas on facebook? Couldn't it just be an impersonator?

He is our most gifted and our best attacking threat. Landon has proved it in this tournament that he is our best.

Yea, but with the PK shot at LD he just sounds bitter and jealous. I don't think people from his generation of US soccer have ever liked the notoriety Adu received.

Just listen to the telecast (not about Adu) just the efforts to prop up their accomplishments.

I'm not a big Adu fan, but I don't think i've ever seen donovan or dempsey put a free kick any closer than 15 feet over the bar. atleast with freddy we could be a little dangerous.

    Freddy is 5'5", TOPS!!

Diego Maradonna was much stockier than Freddy and at 5'4"/5'5" was arguably the greatest player ever. (You can also argue Pele and Zidane... and not much else.)

Freddy is not fast... so it is difficult for Freddy to control a game if he's getting knocked on the ground all the time, especially when most refs don't call anything.

I want to see Freddy get lots of minutes too, but I'm thinking that Wynalda doesn't think a kid the size of a 6th grader is the savior for the USMNT... especially after he's been drinking.

The news isn't the Adu comment it's the PK comment. He is obviously upset that his 37 goal record was surpassed by Donavan, many by PK.

Adu is the greatest player on the planet who can't get on the field for his club/country. . . .

What a bitter, getting older dude. No wonder he flamed out with so many teams and coaches. He was a nightmare in Miami, and should have given his salary back. He had talented at one time and a lot of promise- but his ego got the best of him.

I dont understand the point of dissing Adu, if he played and failed, fine... but he hasnt even played

excluding the Adu post, Wynalda is a nut...
