American sports are filled with broadcasters who can't speak the English language properly and can't formulate a logical argument at more than a 6th grade level. Surely if professionalism in broadcasting were so prevalent in American sports that wouldn't be the case.

Nobody on here or on Ives' blog has come out and said they were offended. It was nothing. Wynalday aint so bad. We need more guys who'll just say what they think, instead of kissing the a$$ of MLS/US Soccer...so even though he's not the most professional, I appreciate his opinions.... I'd actually listen to a podcast or radio show hosted by him or read a blog written by him....

The basis for this thread is a blog entry based on a comment Waldo made last night and an unsubstantiated rumor that Waldo may be replaced at some point. Given all that, the title of this thread is ridiculously inflammatory.

It's funny, when I saw all the flares and the red/orange smoke, I thought to myself, "that reminds me of California the last few days." Next thing out of Wynalda's mouth was, "Remidns me of California." I have not always been a Wynalda supporter - for every astute bit of analysis, there are 3 ridiculous bits of egotistical drivel that are misleading the general American soccer public, and in the end it's too much for me - but this comment barely deserves scrutiny, much less being fired for. I think Ives is blowing "too much smoke" on this one, if you catch my drift.
