Sadly, those knockouts are irrelevant to us. They only matter if we make the final, and who here thinks that is likely?
Thanks for posting this. Really enjoyed my first time viewing this - Press and Heath are very good hosts and the analysis was fair and interesting.
Canada is one of "those" teams. You know the ones that have lesser talent but somehow manage to win many matches they should lose. Maybe it is pride or something in the water but I think they have had really good coaching at exactly the times they have needed it. It also helps that, much of the time, Canada just simply out physicals the other teams. It is rare that a Canadian team, men or women, beat anybody in skill. As an aside about unexpected events: I wonder how many people thought, before the tournament, that one of the knockout round matches would be Jamaica vs Columbia. This WWC is not following any "standard" route into the knockouts. But I have to say I am torn between thinking the expanded field is good for women's soccer and thinking it is bad. I know the expanded field will be bad for men's soccer but 32 is probably a pretty good number for the women 64 is just too many for the men.
