when heath and rapinoe make a move past a defender or two, it better creates an opportunity. it'd be nice to have that from our central midfield.

Should be a red. Terrible challenge.

That was a case of the Nigerian realizing she was going to get a card...

Remember when Abby got staples in her head on the sideline? Will we see that again tonight?

Of course, then there was the game back in 2007 when Ryan waited too long for Abby instead of making the sub.

56' 0-1 Krieger runs on at 15m wide right, hard cross blocked into touch.

57' 0-1 USA right throw-in, down wide right, tap right to Krieger. Standing cross from 5m bends to 8m 1/3 left, Wambach contested header bounces softly to Dede.

58' 0-1 Rapinoe goes centerward at arc top box right, Heath calling for it at box top mid-left. Rapinoe flicks centerward, off ref's heel, Nigeria counter :p USA regain, but offside.

59' 0-1 Wambach jumps facing away(?) at circle top left, Chukwunonye jumps late and they knock heads? Wambach pops up, Chukwunonye stays down for head treatment on field -- which FIFA permits, for 3'.

60' 0-1 Yellow card on #6 Josephine Chukwunonye, her 2nd accumulated. Trainers help her walk into near touch.

61' 0-1 Wambach returns. USA ping in the back, 11-v-10 ...

unsure if holiday and lloyd are even in our best 23 anymore. i guess their experience would be nice to have on the bench and in practice.

    That was awesome.

I like the Leroux for Morgan sub. Morgan gets to rest and Leroux provides a spark.

    64' 0-1 Ayinde 1-v-2 at 1m wide right, fouled.
65' 0-1 Nigeria at circle top left, they foul.

65' 0-1 USA subs in (1 of 3) #2 Sydney Leroux for #13 Alex Morgan.

I want to see a three front with Wambach Leroux and Morgan at some point. Then the goals will flow. This back 4 is good enough to deal with anyone.

2nd yellow. But announcer is right, Johnston getting a knock from that play in the air is a big worry.
