The MetroStars, the local WWC organizing entity, will take Cup and U.S. Soccer officials on an inspection tour of the stadium, hotels and training sites Thursday through Saturday, Hassett said.

The Giants and Jets are out of town during opening weekend, allowing stadium officials to install and remove natural grass that would be placed over the FieldTurf in a timely manner. The grass would cost the Authority only $150,000.

I'm sure someone like Wolyniec, who makes $30K (not including his $500 fine), loved the part about it "only" being $150K to put grass.
