    So the awards go to:

    Golden Ball: Megan Rapinoe
    Silver Ball: Lucy Bronze
    Bronze Ball: Rose Lavelle

    Golden Boot: Megan Rapinoe
    Silver Boot: Alex Morgan
    Bronze Boot: Ellen White

    Golden Glove: Sari van Veenendaal

    Young Player Award: Giulia Gwinn

    Fair Play Award: France

We'll have to wait a bit on the All-Star Team, I think.

I could understand a shout for Mewis, but this is a solid midfield selection for this tournament.

I said I would have liked White to manage to get the Golden Boot, because of her continuity thoughout the whole tournament. Anyway, Rapinoe satisfies me much more than Morgan: she was more of a deciding factor than Morgan was and she didn't score all but one of her goals against just one team.

Why do so many people think Däbritz should be on this list? Sure she was perhaps the best German player but also she wasn’t that good in my honest opinion as much as I like her, especially spending too much time on the ball at times.

Hmm, I suppose. I'll just say one of Rapinoe's PK goals and her free kick goal don't happen without Morgan. (Neither does Rapinoe's one open play goal outside of Thailand, but a couple other players were involved there as well.)

Still going with Lindahl? Henry should be switched with Asllani or Lavelle.

Yeah Henry is a DMC, I just put her as the midfield.

Lindahl was great in this WWC.

She is cute and played well.

Sure, Lindahl was great; I think van Veenandaal was better. Fair enough though.

Asllani is the best player to me, maybe that's because I'm a big fan of her and she was so brave to start again and score the goal after suffered such a terrible knock on the neck.

I have these US players in my all-star team: Dahlkemper, Sauerbrunn, Dunn, Ertz, Mewis and Lavelle

The only one I question is Sauerbrunn, but this is fair.

My (admittedly biased) all-star midfield is every midfield starter in the final plus Asllani. However, I would understand a shout for an English mid (Walsh/Scott) as an additional player or in place of van de Donk.

I also question Mewis. And note that the Golden Ball winner does not even make this list!

Should be Dutch locks for the all-star team in my opinion: van Veenandaal, Bloodworth (more games and much better final than van see Gragt), van Lunteren, Groenen, and Spitse.

Potential Dutch players in the all-star team: Miedema, van de Donk, and van der Gragt.

Unlikely but I wouldn’t rule it out: Martens (better than a lot of people think she was, lack of wingers solidly better than her that went deep in the tournament).

She completely illegally bulldozed over my favorite player in the 71st minute. However, I’m definitely a fan of Mewis and a fair bit of her play this tournament.

Yeah, Rapinoe was a controversial choice.

I thought she was really good this tournament, and it’s hard not to include her and Dahlkemper considering that they were a WC winning CB duo

And I’ve always liked her lol, being in the shadow of Lloyd, Morgan, Rapinoe etc...

I was just less impressed as a whole by Sauerbrunn than I was by Dahlkemper. Unlike others, I blame Sauerbrunn just as much as Naeher for the Spain goal, she struggled to deal with White just as much as Dahlkemper did, and however incidentally, she gave up the penalty that could have easily brought England level. (I suppose you could argue that foul ended up being a critical play though since White very likely would have buried that chance without Sauerbrunn's intervention.) I wouldn't fuss too much about Sauerbrunn getting on the all-star team though; I just think she'd be the least deserving out of the names you mentioned.

Anyone know how soon they post the all-star team selections? Will they appear on FIFA's site?

In 2015, it took them about 6 weeks to announce the All-Star Team because they waited on the publishing of the Technical Report since it was the Technical Study Group that made the decision. In 2011 though it was immediately after the final. Hopefully, it'll be faster than 2015 this time around, but I wouldn't be counting on it to come all that soon since we haven't seen it.

I'll add that in 2015 there was also a Dream XI and Goal of the Tournament, which were both voted on by fans at fifa.com. The Goal of the Tournament vote is happening now on fifa.com through July 17.
