Shared locker rooms perhaps? Although Briana Scurry can have her stall. I'm pretty sure none of the guys would want to share a locker with her.
This is their PLAYER Rep.! Just proves that if you're a moderately attractive woman, You CAN get through life without actually thinking much. She makes Goldie Hawn looks like Einstein. Oh Julie, you're: - SOOO pretty - SUCH a GREAT player - An icon for American Women - One of the best Soccer players EVER. - absolutely unaware of the real world - so full of smoke blown up your skirt for 10 years - a woman who's never really had to think for herself - someone who should stick to a script written by someone who actually went to class and has done something OTHER than soccer. Pick one only please... -
Damn I wish I had said this. It's the most plausible explanation I've heard. She isn't talking to US here; this is what they're saying to HIM. Brilliant. Damn. (I also never noticed your Arena sig lines; my two favorites from that disc are Arena: "We want the first tackle, the first foul, the first shot and the first goal tonight" and DMB "We got the win, the team is like this, we da sh!t")
I've looked on several sites to try and find a copy of this DVD. Did they pull it off the shelf or did it completely sell out and is no longer available? There was some "Coming of Age" thing, but it looks like a different DVD. Bill, or somebody, you wanna burn me a copy?
I looked at US Soccer and they don't show it anymore. Can't see why. I think we can burn a copy, but I'll have to ask the kid. Also, I just loaned it out, but I'll have it back in a week or so. Well worth it - so many great little scenes. I liked Frankie standing with LDo looking out a hotel window before the Portugal match (I think) and Frankie is giving a demonstration of how they will come at his head with their elbows, and how LDo should hold HIS elbows so they get hit instead.
In that case, I have to have it! Seriously though, if anybody does find the DVD, please post the location in order that others can get their hands on it too.
An excellent WUSA article from the WSJ online version. (you may need to do a trial subscription). http://online.wsj.com/article/0,,SB106428426411302700,00.html?mod=sports%5Fprimary%5Fhs
When they officially announce that you let us know. So far they are just writing more articles about "Oooh...they might have found someone else with money to piss away"
I think women deserve thier own league if it can support itself. The worst thing that can happen for women's soccer is to give the morons that ran the league into the ground more money.
"Save the WUSA?" A charity if I ever saw one. They're not appealing to the public because they are a stable, viable sporting entertainment. They're appealing as a bunch of needy charity cases. Pathetic.
What do ya know I was driving home and was stopped at an intersection by people wih buckets that had WUSA on them.
