8,743,123 threads, and none of them tell me whether Twellman is out for the Cup Final or if he'll be playing. Twellman v. Ruiz on the day is a fantastic matchup...

Does ANYONE out there in BS land know whether there have been any decisions made regarding Twellman playing on Sunday? Can't find an update anywhere.

    Thanks.

    I don't think they've made the announcement yet...don't worry, you'll hear eventually.

The league has requested that the Revs withhold the information until the last possible moment in order to sell as many tickets as they can.

I talked to TNT after the game on Saturday, and he said that essentially his knee still hurts a little, but that he's probably going to sit out most of practice this week and see where he is on Sunday. He still thinks he's going to play.

I wish I could say that TT was such a famous star that this would be the case, but he's not. There are Red Sox benchwarmers with a higher profile than any Rev player.

and the pimples on TT's butt are of a much higher profile than the Rickster for sure.

I can definitively answer this question:

    Twellman is Questionable

Technically this means its a game day decision, right?

And knowing Taylor Twellman they way I do (and I don't) I bet the house he plays.

I agree with Northside. I just don't see any way that Twellman is not going to play in the game. He might not go 90, and he might not be 100%, but I can't see anyone or anything preventing him from playing.

It's the last game of the seson. If there is any moment in which to risk an injury it's now.

I think there is a lot to risk, he may see his first NATS call ups very soon, but is the cup final so hell probably go.

I would think that not practicing and doing nothing for a couple of weeks would hurt his fitness and his touch, even if he does play.

Well I could see reasons for not risking an injury. Like you just had a dominating season in the MLS while getting paid less than entry-level paralegals (less than $30,000) and there are some teams that might want to bring you back to Germany for a lot more money during the January transfer window and give you the shot at playing time you feared you were never going to get at 1860 Munich...

Not that he doesn't still want to play and win on Sunday...

Tell that to Grant Hill, who played on an injured ankle for the Detroit Pistons three years ago because it was the playoffs. Two surgeries and two missed seasons later. . .
That being said, I'd bet Twellman will play if he can. A Boston Globe article said he had a mild sprain, usually takes 2 weeks to heal, Taylor was going to try and be ready in 8 days.

According to this morning's Boston Herald, Twellman is feeling better than he was over the weekend, but he still hasn't tried to cut on it, and he probably won't before Friday.

I'll say it now, he'll come back play well, score a goal in the 51st minute, then in about the 70th, he'll fall, hurt himself and miss the entire next season and never return to the level was at.

and you will be hit by a car while checking to see if your zipper really is down and suffer blunt trauma and never return to the level was at.

WOW! Red Sox bench warmers with a higher soccer profile than Taylor Twellman!! Who woulda thunk that!

I hope he plays. Oh, and I cannot name a single Sox bench-warmer. For that matter, I can't name any starters either.

Who cares, he's our league's shining star - and we all know him!

I remember that like it was yesterday. Kenny Smith was in the booth and said "If you're the coach, your team is already down 0-2 in the series, why risk him for next season? I'd say "hey, don't risk it. Take the game off." The other guy in the studio (forgot his name) looked at Smith like he was crazy... as did many fans who thought the notion was stupid but I totally agreed with Smith.

Then.... he got hurt even worse in the game and they lost to boot. Many doubt Hill will ever be the player he once was.

Not that this Taylor Twellman is a Grant Hill....

    Why all the hate?

I have no gain in seeing him injured, I'd much rather the G's run over the rev's full strength so they have no excuses.

I'm a national team fan, and feel TT has a great future for them.

I'm simply saying that it seems every USNT player that's had an injury recently seems to reinjure it very quickly, i.e. mathis and wolf.

Come back too early from a knee injury can be a very serious thing.

So calm down, and go wish your hate on someone else.

He is so obviously going to start that the obviousness of it is even more obvious than the obviousness of an extremely obvious thing going out of its way to draw attention to itself.

Twellman's decision wont be the only one counted. You have to think about Fritz,Nic(h)ol, and driver, maybe even Krafty or Sunil will have something to say... I REALLY hope twellman doesn't do something stupid. ah, i dont know this is so hard. I just wish him the best.

NOTE TO NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION DEFENSE
Us new england fans wouldn't shed too many tears if Ruiz was writhing on the ground like twellman was. ;)
