So we need Hejduk and don't get him because they don't want to risk injury to him. He doesn't even get to sit on the bench because of the 2 yellow cards. But Noonan and Dempsey must be immune to this because Bruce had no problem in releasing them to the Revs for their top match with Dallas (along with Reis). Each ends the night with an assist and NE wins on an improbable double after the 90th minute by Twellman. From mlsnet:
True, but that's still pretty crappy. He shouldn't have let them go to play for the club team unless he was going to do the same for everyone else he wasn't going to use.
I've long held onto the idea that Bruce is a ******** and he hates the Crew. This does nothing to change my mind.
Dude if I were Hejduk I would stay with the national team. Don't they get paid more for being there than playing in a regular MLS match!?
You may not think Hejduk's play has been up to par, but your love for hyperbole makes posts like this laughable.
Disaster, right, no need to overstate. Schulte has one or two decent crosses and everyone thinks he's the next Ashley Cole. Remember the goal that shouldn't have been called back early in the game. The play Schulte gave up on? That doesn't happen with Frankie back there. Hejduk will make his mistakes and look absolutely foolish at times, and people will always point to those, but over 90 minutes to want Kelly or Schulte in ahead of him is crazy.
I would suggest that Hejduk wouldn't of been there on the called back goal to begin with. Whomever was playing ahead of him in midfield at the time would've needed to track back after a dreadful give away. That or if Hejduk was in fact there he would've just gone two footed into him and surrendered a penalty.
I don't know, I was hoping you knew, though I don't remember any. Don't let that stand in your way of making grand statements though!
My name isn't PVancouver or any of those that are far smarter than I, by my count he's surrendered at least one from memory. Point being if you had to back one player from Crew to get burnt badly because of being out of position, and then going straight threw the knees of someone, it's have to be Hejduk.
Everyone who has played midfield or defense the past three years for the Crew has done that, Zak. Everyone. So that's enough to bench Hejduk for Schulte though?
