Uhh. I went to best buy last night to get a CD. The one I wanted was Kings X: Faith, Hope, Love. Anyhow they didn't have it so I resigned myself to buy some other CD's. I got another Kings X that I wanted and I also bought a White Zombie CD. I thought I bought the WZombie CD that had Electric Head Pt. 2 and More Human than Human, but what I bought were the remixes of these songs. I didn't even realize it until I put it in my CD player and listened to it. It is still good, but I am disappointed b/c I thought I bought something else. That'll learn me for not walking out of the store when I couldn't find exactly what I wanted.
This story tops yours... The girlfriend and I go to the Barnes & Noble..They have a system where you can scan the bar code of a CD and listen to short clips of the songs. She wants to find a particular Garth Brooks song (trust me here, she's really great, but her music taste is the worst, or close at least). She scans a CD and finds the song- "The River"- but didn't hear any vocals, the clips are kinda short. We get out to the car and she pops the CD in and I notice the CD cover. It was "Pickin' on Garth Brooks" - a bluegrass tribute. She will never buy another CD unsupervised again.
I highly recommend Dogman if that wasn't one of the ones. Very heavy production on that one. Tapehead is good, too. I saw them a few years back in Raleigh and was blown away. Vastly underrated/ unappreciated band.
Dogman is a virtual sonic boom!! Heavy heavy stuff. And they are a great live band. I've seen them twice within the last couple of years and both times have been amazing. They have a new album due out Tuesday called Black Like Sunday.
