Writer wants to Interview High School Soccer Players I'm a writer and I need information about High School Soccer. If you'd be willing to let me interview you, please send me a message or e-mail. Thanks a lot. lfamous@rcn.com
I'm a sports journalist who, among other sports, has covered High school soccer. The best way to do interviews is to bring your press/publisher credentials to an actual game and do interviews there. Trying to get blind interviews with minors online is often both unsuccessful, and, in many areas, not very legal. If you do not want to wait for the season to start, you can try getting in touch with your local school's soccer coach or athletic director. Again, be prepared to show your credentials when you talk to them, and if they are legit, they should help you get the information you need.
I'm looking for general information ... about the environment surrounding high school soccer, not information on a particular match. I'm not a journalist but a writer working on my first novel, which has some characters who play soccer in high school. I'd rather interview people from throughout the country, not just in Manhattan where I live. I can assure you that asking questions is not illegal, especially not any of the questions I'm asking like: Does everyone on the team practice shots on goal? Are male and female soccer players supportive of each other? I have a B.A., M.A., and M. Phil. from Columbia University. I've also taught college-level courses.
