The WPSL has posted the scores (but not the accouonts) of this week’s games. Oddities include Storm and Tabagators playing 3 games in 3 days, with Vegas games all at home (even though the first counted as an away game) and the Storm games all on the road. July 9th Stingers 3-0 Rays Tabagators 0-3 Ajax Storm 2-2 Freedom (exhibition) July 10th Ajax 1-1 Tabagators Reign 1-3 Sparks Storm 3-2 Mutiny Pride 0-1 Blues Diamonds 0-1 Spiders July 11th Diamonds 2-1 Tabagators Storm 4-2 Stingers Gold 0-1 Spiders (forfeit) Power 1-1 Blues Nighthawks 2-2 Pride *** I looked at the schedule while checking on the scores and wonder about how unbalanced it looks for some teams. For instance, the Denver Diamonds get to play arguably the 4 weakest teams (Kickers, Blues, Select, Nighthawks) a total of 6 times, and this weekend they got to play the Tabagators after that team had played 2 games in 2 days. They also got to play Ajax and the Sea Lions at home, at altitude, the first games those teams were able to play. I wonder how they will do against those 2 teams on the road, now that they have been playing for a while.
