I think it would be interesting to see some exhibition games between to WPSL and W-League teams. The WPSL was limited to California in the past, but now they have an East division and it would be interesting to see how the top teams match up.

Here is a summary of the Steel City Sparks 4-0 win over the Massachusetts Singers tonight in Pittsburgh:

The Stinger were stung in Pittsburgh. The score was 4-0, but it wasn't that close. Katie Barnes almost had a hat trick in the first 30 minutes and the Stingers had only one real scoring opportunity, denied by a leg save by Jamie Stich early in the game. The Sparks possessed the ball throughout and probably outshot the Stingers 10/1. The Sparks had at least 3 cross bars and a post and about a dozen corners (Coutney Biddle heading in one for the 3rd goal).

The Sparks ran circles around the Stingers and were somewhat hampered by a narrow field, but it was really no contest.

The skill and speed of the Sparks was awesome and the whole affair was quite entertaining.
