I was really surprised to see that the Maryland Pride (http://www.marylandpride.com/) are in the WPSL now. Went to the WPSL side and noticed that the league, which had previously just been out west, has an Eastern Division now. How does this bode for the W-League? Are more teams expected to make the jump to the WPSL?
IF the USL doesn't start catering to more of it's leagues/clubs this will surely happen. My personal opinion is it's better to have an integrated league like the USL but Francisco Marcos' tyranny, greed and naivity will eventually be the downfall of the USL setup. It's really a shame too.
WPSL Play-Off's WPLS seasons comes to an end next Saturday when two teams from the east coast travel to San Francisco to take on Ajax and the California Storm. Semi-finals will be played on Saturday and the finals on Sunday. League has expanded to nineteen teams from all over the USA. The WPSL hopes to add several teams next season. Most of those will come from the W league The teams in the league have been profiled each week on Inside Soccer on worldtalkradio.com and it is hoped that the play-offs can be heard on the show next week. Inside Soccer is now the number one soccer talk radio show on the worldwide internet, and is hosted by Brian, Brian and Brian every Saturday 3.00 to 6.00pm (Pacific Time) on worldtalkradio.com Listeners are encouraged to call into the show on the toll free line 1 888 514 2100
