for the year. MJ/Borislow got his wish -- "If I don't get my way none of you play". From twitter news...
Thanks. Will check it out. Feel like I've been punched in the gut...again. WTF? Thought the deal last week or whenever was supposed to sort things.
However, there was one important piece to the puzzle that people didn't talk about and that was whether the US Federation would let US Players play for MJ, with it not being a sanctioned WPS team. My guess is they did not allow it and Borislow rescinded the agreement. I'm speculating here, but that would be my guess.
I'm am going to put any grave dancers on warning right now. I was already in a foul mood. If you post here just to get a dig in or to say some version of "hah! told ya" I will take out my increasingly foul mood on you.
Read Grant Wahl's tweets. WPS suspending operations for 2012 and email to players that legal battle with Borislow diverted resources from operations in the league and forced WPS to suspend season. I can't help but feel that either this is completely disingenuous or they really should have thought about the obvious possibility and cost of lawsuits before their decisions.
.....well ****. Well, it looks like JOS will be leading a league through an extended off-season for the second time. What I really worry about now is if the USSF waiver still stands - if we have six ready for 2013, is it still on, or does WPS dropping out like this completely nullify the agreement?
The late and unlamented NK dictator? /insertion of perspective F^ck the f^ck*r. My rage level is rising.
I can. If any member of the WNT (or anyone for that matter) ever plays for that MFer, in any way, I hope she rots in hell.... (I know, a little loss of perspective, but still ...).
....I hadn't thought of that. Now that you point it out, maybe they already knew they would suspend but waited until today so that someone who got hooked by the qualifying might step in with some $$? *grasping at straws*
Let's be real. There won't be a re-start. Once this league is dead, it won't get re-started. f^ck!ngmotherf^ck!nggivesabadnametomotherf^ckersBorislow With a side dish of you f^ck!ng foolish mofos running wps couldn't get this sh!t figured out from the f^ck!ng beginning.
Oh please. DB is a smoke screen. I'm sure he didn't help, but he's a convenient scapegoat. The deal's already made and DB wasn't the one blocking it. It was a vote Monday morning by the remaining 5 owners to suspend 2012 season. I'm guessing they're not finding enough sponsors and aren't willing to pony up more of their own money, much less figure out a coherent schedule to work with the Olympics and USWNT. Hey, I'm just taking things at face value. They said suspended, not killed; also, all five teams that were (apparently) ready for this year should still be ready for next year, not having to worry about this year's operating costs and what not. As always, until I hear otherwise, I never assume things are worse than they are.
