Hmm what are they saying? I heard Torres mentioned, but my Spanish was too poor to pick up anything else.

A Mexican with no class......who would have thought?

This is the kind of nonsense I have come to expect.

    Classless Mexico Top Three:

    3. Slapping Heyduk
    2. Marquez kicking Howard

    and by far NUMBER ONE

Did you guys see that Fan with a MEXICO t-shirt rip it off in celebration of the first USA GOAL. He was happier then most the boys in red. If you Tevo'd it you can't miss it... what a disgrace!!

Here is what the Univision commentators said: (I posted this on the News Forum as well)

After the game, assistant coach Paco Ramirez went up the Hedjuk and slapped him. Ramirez went up to Hejduk, we don’t know what he said, and slapped with – with aggression. After that, someone pushed Ramirez (they think Ching). Ramirez still wanted to mess with Hedjuk when it should have been all done, and the police had to intervene.

The commentator said, that if a player did this (mentioned Guille Franco), he would not justify it but he would understand it. But if it was a coach, it is totally wrong and inexcusable.

They believe sanctions should come from the Mexican team, and also from CONCACAF.

    ----

Dirty Mexican team, what else is new.
Sunil and USSF, get on this and do something – even the Mexican commentators believe that CONCACAF should do something. We should get our emails into the USSF – anyone want to set this up?

As far as Frankie saying its no big deal..? He should have been right in his face and taken action – no way should he say it was no big deal.

Thanks for showing class by being classless yourself. So what if he is Mexican, he was just classless! What does his nationality have to do with it?!

Latinos like me root for the US. But I guess we are not supposed to be because we are classless. Thanks.

Glad we won! But I am glad whoever we beat. God bless.

    Me, I wonder:

    A. Of all Americans to slap, why Frankie? Did a butterfly in Madagascar flap its wings to the left this morning? Is Landon no longer worthy? (Or was he walking too fast to be caught from behind? :D)

    B. Of all physical attacks, why a slap? You will be posterized, scrutinized, and FIFA-demonized regardless, why not get your career's worth ... (Of course I understand that physical aggression of any kind already implies a temporary cessation of logical thinking)

I thought it was very cool-headed of Frankie to not retaliate, and very wise of him to shrug it off later. Send the message: We are so much mentally stronger than you that you cannot even find our buttons to push them. Like a patient adult smiling at a tantrum-throwing toddler. That's a nice image to project.

Dont forget that trip Sanchez (goalie) tried to do on Johnson after Donovan went by him on that '90 min goal in 2007(phoenix-exhibition) Sanchez should have been tackled blindsided for that crap lolol

I agree with you man. But as one US MNT supporting Mexican to another just let it go. Our team won today. That's what matters. If some real Americans want to prove how ignorant some Mexicans are by being ignorant themselves, well there bad.

No no no. Don't think like a six-year-old kid with a hair-trigger temper. That's exactly whom they're trying to provoke. You must rise above, like Jackie Robinson.

Onyewu wouldn't touch him. He wouldn't have to.

Onyewu would cock one eyebrow, and give Paco a stare of buglife. Without even opening his mouth, Onyewu would brand Paco in perpetuity as a parasite of gnats, a mold under a flea's wing, a thing that swims in drops of pond water under inexpensive microscopes in American high school biology classrooms.

The photo of that would race around the world at the speed of blog. ESPNDeportes would adopt it as their FIFA Pacogate imagery. Nike would make a tacky poster of it, which would adorn bedrooms across Asia and the Middle East. It would be USA banner fodder for every classico for three decades. Olive Garden de Mexico would make a Paco Buglife bobblehead doll. Guys dressed up in Captain Kirk gold command shirts would dance next to life-size Inflatable Paco Dolls, singing, "I'm Tweedledee, he's Tweedledum". EA Sports would unveil the smash hit video game line "Oguchi and the Elder Gols", in which the player controls a lifelike Oguchi Onyewu avatar, who wades through screens of undead mediocampistas with a Knockback Stare (medium range, tight-beam effect), solves whodunnit crimes in film noire style with a You Can't Hide the Truth (From Me) Stare (short range, eye-to-eye effect), infiltrates neo-apocalyptic 2-7-1 camps with a I'm Not the Freud You're Looking For Stare (visual range, hemispherical effect -- note: no effect on bosses and strong-minded reporters), and eventually saves the solar system from alien predatory ore-dumping trade policies with a Motion Wave Stare (interplantary range, cone-shaped effect).

Decades later, Paco would write a memoir-culpa called "The Day Onyewu Assaulted My Hand with his Jaw, and Other Casus Belli in Las Guerras Fria" (and yes, "casus" is fifth declension, so it is its own plural). The two of them reconcile, make the speaking tour circuit, and later form a great trilingual color commentator team at five Mundials, switching rapid-fire between English, Spanish, and Chinese (often in the same sentence), to the vast irritation of the Inuit, who would e-ping the station via satellite wireless, and correct their grammar in all three, in real-time.

The best revenge is living well. Have a good life :p

I watched and listened to what the announcers were saying on Univision. The interesting thing is that they said they thought Paco was doing an aggressive "friendly" slap to the face but went to far. You know the kind of caressing slap that some guys give the noobs, the young guys, the new kid. Only that slap was not "friendly" in the least, that was a full on Rick James bitch slap he did there, no way was it friendly.

Yes they said it was out of line on Univision and they think that not only should the Mexican Federation look at suspending him but also CONCACAF. Why? Univision at the end of the tape said, "Had Frankie Hedjuk reacted differently and had the police not been there that could have potentially started a full on brawl between the two sides which is unacceptible".

Frankie told him to get out of his way so he could go drink a couple of warm RedBulls to calm down after the game.
