Alright, then. Here we go. From: http://soccernet.espn.go.com/headlinenews?id=259276&cc=5739 United Trio Doubtful for Cup Final "Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Wes Brown remain Manchester United's major doubts ahead of Sunday's Worthington Cup final. Mikael Silvestre has resumed training after his recent ankle injury and will play against Liverpool in Cardiff, but neither Brown (hamstring), Scholes (groin) or Giggs (thigh) is looking likely to make United's side." I'm not aware of any injuries we suffered today; and Smicer's perfonrmance in the second half is a good sign that he will be ready on Sunday in Cardiff. All of a sudden, it's fun again . . . ----
I was feelin’ a mite bummed out after the B’ham game and wasn’t up to even thinking about the Worthie (Or worthless, according to Manure fans) But I’m over that and ready to take the field come Sunday. While I feel that going on our current record things don't look good for us, Manure are still vulnerable. An offside goal gave them all the points with Bolton. The Gooners trashed them and city showed us some real soft spots in their defense. (I do like Burkavic? We don’t have anyone to take it at the defense like that.) So, I haven't given up on Liverpool yet.... I'll drink to that! For the Worthie Cup, I'd say to those who scoff, don't knock it if you can't qualify for it...!!! It's on PPV Sunday but I can't see paying $20 to watch it.
$15.95 on my system, which will be better than watching us lose in a room split halfway between Man Utd. and LFC fans. I'd invite you over but the place is a mess. Don't let any Man Utd. injury reports fool you into thinking they will be any sort of pushover. They haven't been as successful as they have been without depth and a desire to win every game.
Not on my system at any price, sadly. Didn't mean to imply that this will be easy. But Scholes and Giggs being out is helpful. And, as the old saying goes, "the ball is round." ----
I'm going! Got a ticket yesterday. Badda-fucking-bing! The Millenium Stadium is mad and the last time I was down there (Charity Shield win against the Mancs) we had a blast. Will be a tough game, but who knows? It's a derby, basically, so you know what they say about form and windows ...
Have a great time Matt. Still got vivid memories of giving the turnstile bloke 10 quid to get into the 83 Milk Cup final against them. There wasn't a ticket to be had anywhere and even the touts had none available for less than the price of your car. Barney Rubble and Ronnie made that a memorable one.
Yeah, though a few of the others should be there. I also have plans on Saturday night and won't be getting home until early Sunday morning, and I need the extra sleep. Congrats on getting the ticket, Matt.
I can't believe you guys...a cup final against the Scum and you can't be bothered to pay $15 or $20??? Wow...I'm up at 5:30 to be at the pub at 6 AM... Full breakfast and crap coffee with plenty of Scum fans.
Matt keep on singing for all of us. I'll be decked out in shirt, scarf and hat at the local and will laugh in the face of all the Scummers when we win! YNWA!
Matt: Great news! Keep in mind you'll be yelling and singing for a dozen or more of us over here. . . Breakfast with Stevie Hunter for me. . . Some news: Henchoz doubt for Cup final Stephane Henchoz is Liverpool's main injury doubt ahead of the Worthington Cup final. Actually only usscouse said that and he's a cheap old b*stard Some us don't have it available on ppv anywhere. Glad to be corrected on that though.

My picks for the starting eleven: …………………….Dudek .Carragher—Traore—Hyppia—Riise Murphy—Hamann—Gerrard—Smicer …………….Owen—Heskey Subs: Arpexhad Diouf Diao Baros Babbel ----
I just hope all of you (especially that wanker Matt ) spare a thought for poor little ole me who has to suffer by living in Hawaii. I'll be up at 3:15 a.m. bleary eyed, and trying to stay awake well enough to focs on what Steve Hunter is saying. Oh the humanity!
Our hope tomorrow is Michael Owen. It's very comforting to know that we have a striker up front known to perform to the peak of his potential in the biggest games. Always a man to count on when turning cup finals. Tomorrow might be a day where he makes the difference between victory and defeat.
As I have no access to the ppv broadcast I will be here at 8am central giving text comms if anyone needs it.
They'll never brave that room alone...as long as they're at Lucky Bar, where I'll be in about ten hours. Anyone else from DC going to make it out for this one?
