I seen the uruguayan league and to be honest, that stadium and field was the crappiest one I have ever seen in my whole entire life.

    What do you think?

Luckily, the clubs are now (Somehow) getting money and fixing all their fields. IE. Colo-Colo,Audax,Catolica. The only ones left are Union Espanola.

On, well I saw this thread topic and decided to comment on it. Of course, I then see where you're from JacopeX, and actually that's exactly what my answer was going to be.

I grew up in Stamford and I have to say, that their fields are pretty damn bad. I still play there now, and that Rippowam field has been untouched since I was 7 (I'm 30).

HAHAHA!!!! I used to play in the TOR field and its worser than Rip. I go to Westhill, and I might tryout for the Varsity and hopefully make it. By the way, it is sad that the Westhill field is way better than the crappy fields said here.

So is, "Nuuk," the stadium's name, or a suggestion for what to do with it? ;)

    Very true, TOR is crap.

When I play in the summer, some of our games are down at West Beach. Yea, you know, the field that is dirt with one or 2 patches of grass? And not only that, towards the end of the summer we have to contend with the flocks of Canadian geese that lounge around on it.

    Good luck on the tryout!

To tell you the truth, last year, that is where I practiced by myself last summer and the Goose droppings worried me since they are filled with diseases. In Stamford, they take no care of there soccer fields in parks. The only good ones here is Stamford is the SHS field and the westhill field. :D

Roda's old stadium was called Kaalhei. It translate to something like 'horrible pitch'...and it was.

any pitch that is indoors or has a retractable roof/overhang

football is not meant to be played indoors or in the shade

And by "many" you mean 2 right? These being Gelsenkirchen and Frankfurt.
At least our roof in Frankfurt isnt used for Footballgames tough. It has been closed at two games right after it was finished and never since. Its actually thought for other events that take place in the stadium like Concerts... I think the same goes for Gelsenkirchen too alltough they do close it at nightgames sometimes.

And I completely agree: No need at all for a roof over a footballgame...
