Cucho not at open training. Surprised the starters even showed at all for the 5 minutes that they did
Crewster point standings as of today: EAST Cincinnati 9 NYRB 8 Miami 7 Toronto 1 Montreal 0 Charlotte -1 NYC -1 Columbus -3 Philadelphia -4 DC -4 Orlando -8 New England -8 Atlanta -9 Nashville -10 Chicago -11 WEST Salt Lake 7 LA Galaxy 6 Minnesota 3 Colorado 3 Vancouver 0 LAFC 0 Houston -1 Austin -2 Seattle -2 St. Louis -5 Portland -5 San Jose -5 Dallas -7 Kansas City -10
To note, from the open training, JRR was doing some heavy duty hold up play practice with Derrick Jones acting as the Heavy. Rowe struggled, but they were really working hard and giving Rowe lots of instructions. It lasted about 10 minutes.
Usually I preach about parity and how much home field advantage means and travel and time changes do effect things... but Chicago has lost over half their home games. Win column, just not sure if it's a 1 goal or multi-goal... I'll go with 2-1 good guys for now
Columbus have won consecutive games all of once this year. We have a chance to do it again today. The first one was a CCC/MLS combo. If you want to talk about winning consecutive league games, we have also done that once, though there was CCC inbetween. Only consecutive wins: A road win in Houston in CCC play (thanks Tiny Vampire!) followed by a 2-1 home win vs Chicago. Consecutive MLS wins: The 2-1 home win over Chicago followed by the 3-0 spanking of NYRB at the dot. 1-1 draw with Houston at home in between. Common theme? The Fire involved in both instances. And, potentially, in this one. FWIW, we have won 2 on the trot away, 3-1 vs Monterrey and Montreal. We have not list away since the 2-0 loss in Charlotte with the questionable early red. On March 23. But who cares about draws? We want a win. This year: (WDL) MLS Home: 3-3-1 CCC Home: 1-2-0 ------------ Total Home: 4-5-1 MLS Away: 1-3-1 CCC Away: 2-1-0 ----------- Total Away: 3-4-1
Wonder if hometown player Mrowka will get the start today, would have been sweet for him to make his debut in front of friends and family in chicago
I like him as the human victory cigar late. Nagbe did not go 90 midweek. Morris did. Zawadzki & Farsi played 22 min. Jones not at all. Cucho & JRR not at all. Hinestroza & Malte 6 min. I expect some rotation, but we do have a full week before Orlando.
If there's one thing we're learning about Wilfried it's that he's perfectly comfortable sending out almost anyone on the roster and not sweating it. I think that in October his guys will still have some legs.
Ramirez starting again. Cheberko, Sands and Hinestroza all starting on the left. Cucho not in the 18 again.
Well I would guess Cucho doesn’t start. Idk if he traveled but if he did I imagine he starts on the bench and plays if needed.Hopefully we win and he isn’t needed and gets more rest if that back is truly sore. Rossi / Ramirez & Matan would be my guess up top. Here lately it’s been hard to guess the line up. Schulte Sands/( Yeboah ) Cheberko/ (Amundsen ) Camacho ( Cheberko ) Moreira Farsi ( Arfsten) Jones Morris ( Nagbe) Rossi Ramirez (Cucho/JRR) Matan (just my guess of possible subs, only 5 obviously could play) Nagbe could definitely play 90 but I’m hoping we are limiting his minutes and using our depth. It’s a long season …
