    this may seem funny and it is but no ones fooled here:

    -ledley king is a promising talent and a confirmed international, club captain, but
    definately not the worlds best CB
    -king maybe one day
    -in my opinion terry and cannavaro are equally the best with nesta, puyol an lugano not too far behind

    Gallas is better than quite a few names in this poll. (He's certainly better than Carvalho.) If he's the best? I dunno. Defenders are hard to judge as "the best", because they have no real stats to accompany them.

    I cannot believe that Alex is included. Aside from having a turning circle the size of the Atlantic, he would be outpaced by an ice age. Very dodgy inclusion.

    I voted Terry, but I think Ferdinand should at least be on the list over some of those folks like Stam and Chris. Ferdinand has been a bit poor lately, but he is the best CB IMO when he is on his game.

    Seriousy how did King get so many votes?

    rio ferdinand isint on there because i prettty much forgot, we all no he's got class and is better then many on this list but at the moment he's under-performing and has been responsible for many goals leaked by united, but i expect him to come good again.

    i wonder what ferdinands attitude has been this season after his contract dispute over more money in which he succeded, i remember jonah lomu(rugby legend), said how he saw ferdinand and friends playing poker NAKED in a enclosed lobby of a hotel in england in the offseason
