Yep, a big ol' picture of Kluivert and the heading 'Nou Camp Nightmare'. But there isn't much news in the story by Sid Lowe-- you already know everything he has to say. (Maybe he's getting his material from the Big Soccer boards? ha.) But there is a nice article on Real Sociedad. Apparently Denoueix requires a pre-game meal of eggs and rice for the team?! Pardon my ignorance, but is this a French or Basque thing or is it just a superstition by the coach?

Jay, thanks for starting this. Given that Sid Lowe wrote about Real Madrid in 4-4-2, and now about Barca in WS, I was going to title my thread:

Sid Lowe goes ______ ways (edited by Tony ;) you can figure it out)
but of course, I would never actually do that.

Since Jeff King left World Soccer, Keir Radnedge has been doing their spain reporting. And while Mr Radnedge is a good writer, I'd like to see Sid Lowe write for WS on a consistent basis.

The quote I loved in the article tho, was Enrique's, which will be my new sig if I ever get around to it.

Interesting Article...Lowe needs to start patting himself on the back for the Antic Treble bit though.

Most interesting points that illustrate what a buffoon Gaspart is.

In the last 3 years total expenditures on New players:

    Real - 120 million pounds
    FCB - 140 million pounds

enough said there...get a plan and stick to it

    Did enjoy Enrique's quote..classic..

Thank god those 2 are gone!

    Midwest, the real one.
Well, some things are better when left to the imagination. In that case, Enrique's quote was unbelievable. First I fell out of my chair gasping for air, then I called all the members of my family. Sometimes a good quote causes a chuckle or provokes thought, in this case it brought a family closer together. And sometimes, just sometimes, a link is not needed to post a quote.

That's what I was trying to imply.

If a quote is printed and there's noone around to post it, does it make a noise?

reminds me of the Monty Python Episode where they talk about the secret weaponm of the WOrld's Funniest Joke..it was used in World War 1 to sub due the germans :)

    The long awaited quote is............

    [Drum Roll]

    [/Drum Roll]

when speaking to the Catalan press about backing LvG at a press conferencer Luis Enrique said..

"You lot are amazing [The press]... You moan and moan that we never say anything interesting, but what on earth do you want? Of course we will tell you we're behind the manager; do you seriously expect us to say anything different"

Hope it was worth the wait

Also quoted in the same issue:

    Ronaldo on LvG

"He deserved what happened to him at Barcelona. He had many bad things to say about me and for that nonsense. God punished him"
