Seeing as most teams will be wrapping up their selections this round, it'd be nice to get outside opinions on how we've done.

Incorrect yet again. Van Nistelrooy has not played for four months and Fabregas for three months. As per the rules both will therefore take a serious hit in terms of form and fitness.

He can still change it to remove some of the dross that was left over.

You will need to find out from comme. I am not sure how long we have between completing the draft, arranging the tournament and submitting our tactics.

I never said anything about his quality but only his complete lack of playing time which will obviously have an impact in regard to the draft tournament.

The vagaries of Euro quota rules will have no bearing on the form and fitness of Silva. Especially if you want to claim your one-footed defender fit and go.

Silva has only featured in friendlies this year. His match fitness/sharpness is obviously going to be an issue.

    That sounds reasonable.

About his picks, I think Thiago Silva, Barzagli and Riquelme are very good options, in spite Thiago Silva is inactive, but not for injury.

Otherwise, I think Joe Cole option have the same risk as van Nistelrooy or Maggio, he's out until the end of the season, and Gabriel Milito is maybe like King or Fábregas, but perhaps more because he'll probably return in some days after 1 year inactive!

About Gabriel Heinze, I think were better options in his position.

Actually, Riquelme can be one hell of a goalkeeper.

I was given a free pass card on three injured players. Cole and Milito will be judged by their pre-injury forms.

Cole and Milito's injuries are going to be ignored.

No, he will be judged by his last cub play because there's nothing in the rules addressing this.

It has already been clearly stated by two judges that Maggio is not a risk.

We are drafting players to play in a tournament immediately. Why do you expect his inactivity this year to not be an issue?

I'm not saying he's the best defender in the world, but would you call Gallas consistent over the past 2 seasons?

Other than one game against United and one against Roma (Mikel's fault more than anything else), I find it bizarre to argue Chelsea's defense has been bad against other teams. Unless you think Liverpool have no quality attackers? And Chelsea was the EPL's top defense when the draft started, as United had played fewer games.

Mmm... I still think he's, I'm not sure if judges agree or not, personally I think he'll lose some points by his currently status, but whatever, isn't our decision :).

His competitive match-fitness and current form will have to be judged based on recent evidence. imo he will suffer on both counts but unlike injuries, this is a more subjective part of the draft and you will have to convince the judges of his match-fitness and form.

Liverpool 2 - 0 Chelsea, Alex in part to blame for Torres' opener

At the start of the draft,
Utd - 12 goals conceded in 27 games; 0.44 goals per game
Chelsea - 16 goals conceded in 28 games; 0.57 goals per game.

I agree with you. Grinners and I would have taken him earlier had it not been for the injury. But like you said. It's not our decision to make, it is the judges decision to make.

With the piece of shit team I inherited, Riquelme's the only one out their capable of transcending the circumstances and giving it a chance.
